The media could not be loaded. This reduces ambient sound. Noticeably! It is not the same as having a sound isolation Booth, which is what some people are looking for. That would be magic! My only complaint is that it is so large that it takes up a lot of space on my desk. The weight is low and it is easy to use. It seems well made. I have not compared it to any other device on Amazon. I have previously used down comforters to surround my computer setup and I think they are better than this. Still, this is easier to use!

I use a Neat King Bee mic (the old bulky one, not the sleek II model) and based on previous experience with my boom arm not being able to handle the unwieldy shape and weight, I was a bit concerned with how this stand would take it. No issues mounting the mic and no issues holding it in place. Only minor complaint is that the mic held upright and in the lowest adjustment still sits above the shield. It would be nice to have a way to lower it even further. Other than that, this appears to be a well-built bit of kit with plenty of versatility that does what it says at a pretty solid price all things considered. The tray is a welcome add-on and I like that the shield can be used on a desk separately from the stand - comes in handy with a sit/stand desk so you don't have to move the shield up and down on the stand whenever you transition. Overall, I can recommend it.

I got into doing voiceover when the pandemic started and was always tinkering with home-made stuff to make it sound better. Then for $77 I found this gem and my problems were over. It's compact, it's solid, it's soooo easy to assemble and I'm saying that as a man with hands like a snake, the letters DIY strike fear into my mechanically-impaired heart. But with the easy-to-follow instructions, I had these together in 20 minutes and was using it in 21. Honestly, it's the best home-studio purchase I could have ever made. On the slightly negative side, the little shelf that comes with it to rest a laptop or folders on is too small, but that's a minor complaint. Overall, this thing rocks and suits my needs 100%.
