Customer support at Micoe was outstanding! I had lots of questions before purchase, as I shipped it to our home in the Philippines. This is my first experience with an inverter pool heater so there was a bit of a learning curve. Unlike a gas heater where you direct full flow to the heater, the proper flow through the unit is crucial in order to get optimal performance. Too much flow and the water will come out close to the same temperature it went in. With proper flow, the outlet will be around 3 degrees higher than the input. It does not heat as fast as a gas heater, but it maintains your chosen temperature very efficiently. If you're heating a spa, mine takes a couple hours. For my 10,000 gal pool it raises the temp about 1 degree every 1.5 hours. Set your expectations on efficiency and you won't be at all disappointed with this unit. Love the fact that I can control everything by my phone!

I’ve been using this pool heater cover for about one month to shield my outdoor heat pump during winter and occasional storms. Compared to thinner covers I’ve used before, this one feels sturdier and more weather-resistant. In terms of performance, the waterproof fabric keeps rain, snow, and dust off the unit, while the UV coating prevents fading and sun damage. One thing that stood out was the adjustable straps and drawstrings because they allow a snug fit around the heater without leaving gaps for debris. The cover wipes clean easily with a damp cloth and folds compactly into the included storage bag when not in use. A potential limitation is that it must be removed whenever the heater is running, so it’s not suitable for continuous coverage during operation. Also, while durable, the material can feel a bit stiff when handling in cold weather. Overall, I’m giving this 4 stars because it provides solid protection from the elements and debris, but it requires removal for operation and can be slightly bulky to handle in colder months.

My review is for a swimming pool heater cover. It seems the listing has changed and is now for a swimming pool heater which is why I took off a star. I am one of those people who won’t swim in the pool unless the water is 88-90 degrees. We spent a lot of money on our pool heater so I wanted to get a cover to protect it. We have a Hayward heater for our 24’ round pool. The cover is very snug so either I measured wrong before I ordered it or it’s a little smaller than it says. The fabric feels ok but thinner than I was expecting. This is my first winter using it. I live in northeast Ohio where it snows a lot so we will see how it holds up over winter and if my heater is still in good shape. We have a lot of trees in our backyard. The heater cover is thin but at least it will protect the heater from the falling leaves.

This is a good heat pump cover. The material is waterproof, high strength and ultraviolet resistant. It has a couple of straps across the back to help tighten the cover onto the heat pump so it won’t blow away. All the seams are very well sewn and the product looks really good. It’s very easy to install it on the heat pump. It’s very functional and keeps all the dirt and leaves from falling into the heat pump vents. It’s also easy to take off and fold up and they give you a nice bag to keep it in so it doesn’t get lost or dirty. This cover is much better than other covers that I’ve had and I’m eager to see how long it lasts. I think it’s a pretty good value for a cover of this quality.

Not a good experience with this! We didn’t see the expected heating results … we needed a solar cover to get it to heat and it was about 1 or 2 degrees per day. It’s 50 degrees or so where we live so maybe it was because of that but the description says it should handle it. Plus there is no customer service directly from the company.

Well made and heavy duty enough for being a AC or head pump cover. I used this on our Gas fired pool heater and although I did get it to mostly fit, the gas line accessories on the one side prohibit it to fit on nicely and as it should be but thats not a negative for the cover, because no cover would fit 100% on this heater apparently. I'd need to modify it a little on the back corner but everything else covers the 400,000btu heater perfectly fine. The material is plenty thick enough that this should last at least a few seasons during the winter months for protection.

I put this cover on our pool heater pump right after clearing leaves from the yard, and it immediately felt like one of those low-effort upgrades that pays off. I despise clearing the leaves away - constantly. The material is sturdy without being stiff, and it drapes smoothly instead of bunching up or fighting you as you pull it over the unit. Functions as I desired - leaves stay out! Bugs stay out! The fit is clean and tidy. It doesn’t balloon in the wind or leave awkward gaps. We had a light sprinkle later that evening, and the water beaded and ran off without soaking in. The seams stayed tight, and nothing sagged or held moisture. There’s nothing complicated about this cover, and that’s exactly the appeal. I didn’t expect the heat level to be impacted. But my electricity monitor set up on its electric connection immediately is showing less usage. I’ll monitor for two weeks and compare to outside temps, but it seems obvious it helps maintain the heat level. Side note: I’m fascinated by the company logo. Flowing lines like the pool ripples.

This pool heater cover so far works for my Raypak pool heater even if it is smaller than the intended size. My Raypak gas heater measures 27” high x 22” long and 12” wide. There are also two water connections on the manifold and a gas line at the bottom. This cover is meant for a larger electric heatpump, but with a few bungee cords and spare wood pieces on top, I was able to make it work pretty well for my heater. I would not say this is super heavy duty and would seem less durable than a typical above ground pool cover, but it won’t receive anywhere near the stress that a pool cover does, so I think it will be fine for this purpose. I live in close to a major great lake and we get a pretty good amount of snow and cold weather.
