This is very durable cookware if you use it properly - read the directions! Don't use high heat, don't use metal utensils and don't scour with abrasive cleaners. Food cooks evenly without sticking at lower temps and clean-up is a breeze.

Working great so far. Very non stick. Take care of them, use the right utensils, don't over heat them. If they last a few years, I'll be happy. Not a lot of money. Would buy again.

    • Lids get loose
Great purchase except the handle/knob on glass lids get loose every time I cook with them.. I have to use a screwdriver every couple days.. However, the handles on the pot and pan do not have screws, but rivets… I’m a little concerned the handles will get loose with no way to tighten…but so far so good. ... show more

    • Bought for RV and I'm impressed so far
I bought this set to keep in our RV; this kit had the pieces (and sizes) I wanted, and while I didn't want to spend a lot of money, I also didn't want to go bottom of the barrel cheap. I was especially drawn to the fact that two of the pieces share the one lid since weight capacity and space are so limited in our travel trailer. Now that I have had a chance to use these multiple times on several trips, I'm impressed with their overall value. The pans, while not extremely heavy, have enough weight and thickness to inspire confidence, and their overall performance aligns with that – they seem to distribute and retain heat pretty well. As of now (I've had them only a couple of months), they're satisfactorily non-stick, and I'm pleased with how well they clean up. This, again, makes me happy given that conserving water while camping is important. I can't yet speak to their long term durability, but for now, I'm happy with the set. ... show more

    • Mediocre quality product, not as represented
I have two issues with this cookware set, one relating to quality and one relating to misleading advertising. Re the quality issue: we have had these pans for a little over a month now and they are in almost daily use, sometimes multiple times per day as we are cooking all meals at home currently. The saute pan is already losing its non-stick quality. It is also not flat on the interior; there is a small hump in the middle of the pan which means that liquids are not distributed evenly and pool on the outside edges of the pan. Any cook knows that this is not ideal. The saute pan is still usable, but will likely need to be replaced in the very near future as it is no longer working as expected. The saucepan is still non-stick and functions properly at this point. The second issue relates to the way in which the product is presented. The description takes great pains to emphasize the European origin of the product. Well, the manufacturer may have originated in Germany, and their products may have been made there at some point, but I discovered the cookware that they currently produce is not German made. When I opened the box containing the cookware set it was clearly marked "Made in China," much to my disappointment and frustration. I considered returning it immediately on that basis, but my husband (the chef) suggested we give it a try anyway as our pots and pans really did need replacing. I suppose at this price point I shouldn't expect European quality, but the product description is misleading at best. Under normal circumstances I would just go back to a brick and mortar store and look through the products until I could find a good quality one verified to have been made in Europe, but while ordering everything online right now I have to go on faith that a product advertised as being German is actually made in Germany. ... show more

No response from the website customer support team is the reason for the low review. I’ve had this set for less than a year. The lid broke during cooking a few days ago. I was using it as intended over medium-high heat. The lid shattered during cooking and obviously had to toss that dinner. I did add a couple of photos of the shattered lid so you can see and send to Customer Service if needed. I have sent 2-3 emails to the customer support website as directed through Amazon to see if there is something Michelangelo can do to help. I have had no response. I feel this is unacceptable and the reason for the 1 star review. If they respond to one of my emails or this review, I will update the review accordingly. That said: 1. For the price, this is a great set of cookware. Very sturdy and easy to cook with and clean. I use them daily. 2. I will purchase more of this cookware. Especially if they have a Amazon deal on it or something. I have enjoyed using it. 3. I know going forward what to expect from customer service currently if you have a problem. You should know as well, so keep that in mind. However, the pots and pans seems to be of good quality build and coating. I would recommend overall, except for the customer service. ... show more
