Let me start out by saying this is my honest review. I have not been asked to leave a revirw. I am leaving a review willingly and on my terms. When I received the incubator it arrived with the glass broken and the door latch was busted. I was home alone and heart broken because I had eggs that NEEDED to go in. I decided to take the glass plate off with a screw driver to see if it was replaceable. I am not very savvy when it comes to fixing things. But I was able to take the plate off woth ease and measure the size glass that I needed. Super proud of myself! I sent my husband to Lowes to get a new piece of glass cut to the size we needed. We installed the new glass with ease and it had a PERFECT and air tight seal. As for the latch my husband was able to fix the little piece within a few seconds. Problem solved! This was a minor set back but it all worked out. It was definitely a shipping issue. The box was packed well with foam. So it wasn't the manufacturers fault. This incubator is a godsend. It holds up to 160 large chicken eggs. (Or 200 bantam eggs). Lots of eggs for the price! It holds MORE eggs than the famous "Hatching Time" incubator for $300 less. I was worried at first to get this incubator but I am so glad I did. It holds tempting and humidity well. I have to add water into the tube about once a day. And it keeps it bumped at the desired humidity. The rollers work fantastic. I love the window as I can see good inside the incubator when the eggs are on rotators. But when lockdown comes its hard to see inside the baskets. There is a light inside that you can turn on and off. I love this feature! And a button where you can rotate the turners. Which is pretty cool. My only complaint is the forced air fans. These fans blow GOOD. Which means, if you open the incubator for too long the temperature drops down FAST. So the fan blows cool air on the eggs if the inside temp is too low. So be sure not to open the incubator as much as possible. On lock down day, move quickly. Pull out the racks with egg's and close the incubator quickly. Transfer all the eggs to baskets and place them back inside. Don't open the incubator against until all the eggs have hatched. Other than that, I have no other complaints! My very 1st hatch didn't do so well because I had a 46-hour power outage due to a storm. 60% of eggs hatched. This wasn't the incubators fault. The incubator did come with cables to connect it to a backup battery but I didn't have a battery available at the time. So make sure you have a spare battery on hand if you experience power outages often! Fast forward and 2nd hatch is here! I got a 98% hatch rate this time! Absolutely love this incubator and I reccomend it to anyone who is on a budget and can't spend $900 on a Hatching Time Incubator. Don't get me wrong the Hatching Time incubator is the best on the market. But the $900 one only holds 60 eggs. So I am pleased with this one that holds 200 eggs for less cost.
