I've been using this and it seems to work as advertised. So far nothing bad to say. It's fairly easy to put together and finds things but you need to hone in on what you're looking for. Just takes some learning. Hopefully it lasts a while.

After perfectly fitting my engagement for months on end it (randomly) became loose on me within a matter of days . Within those few days I somehow managed to fling it somewhere in my backyard . After days of looking we decided it was time for a new purchase - a metal detector . Mom and dad put this metal detector to the test and found it almost instantly ! I bought this for my father who is retired. I wanted to test it out to make sure it was working before I gave it to him, since I didn't want to give him something that didn't work. It did pick up something in the backyard and it was an old nail. Anyways, I took put it back in the packaging and gave it to him that same day. It has been a week now and he loves it.
