This is a great metal detector!! It's nice and light. Very easy to use! We were headed to do some camping in the desert and this had a nice bag to carry it in. I would definitely get another one!

I am an adult and I use this when I go to the beach. I love how it tells me. What kind of metal is underground so I can decide if it’s worth digging up or not the color is very nice in the back light helps if I wanna go out in the middle of the night or early in the morning

I've had other metal detectors in the past but none were nearly as accurate as this one was. It took awhile to assemble. I read the entire manual that comes with it. Several options for settings to set to ignore certain items (scrap iron, nails, junk) and to focus on the real prizes. Also, to set for depth, too. Pleasantly surprised that the batteries came with it which really helped to get started. The first time I took it out to the backyard to try it out, I found this silver-plated old-fashioned belt buckle. It probably doesn't have much real value but it was fun to find. Due to its age, it was not sitting right on the surface but was buried a few inches in the dirt. I can't wait to get out and try it some more. I think one of my grandchildren will love to try it, too. This is not the most expensive unit out there, but I'm just an amateur anyway. If it proves to be a sustainable hobby, I might upgrade some time down the road. The unit appears reasonably well-made for the price. I found the buttons to adjust the handle a little difficult as I don't have the grip to push it all the way in. And I am concerned that the end of the detector wand might be too delicate as it's made of plastic. But I think with care, it should last for awhile. ... show more
