I have used Metabo cordless tools for a very long time and for whatever dumb reason, I used to buy the small batteries. Face palm myself! I started getting the 3 AH batteries as my old batteries died, but this multi volt 4/8 amp hour battery is the way to go. I used my reciprocating saw to trim tree branches for half the day and this battery still had 3 bars of juice left in it when I was finished. Then I popped it onto my cordless angle grinder to cut up several pieces of 3" pipe in the yard and it STILL had juice left in it when I was finished. I have charged and used it quite a few times at this point and have not noticed any diminished performance. If you pair it with a driver or drill I don't think it will ever run down. Ha. This new charger is a huge improvement over the old ones too. It charges up all the slide style batteries (whether they are multi volt or not) in half the time or less of the old chargers. I have not had the battery long enough to rate it but so far, I'm very pleased with how long it lasts. The charger charges really fast compared to any other charger I've owned. I have a construction co and we have many different brands too.
