The Milwaukee M18 Dual Bay Simultaneous Rapid Charger is highly praised by contractors for its quick-charge capability. It can efficiently charge multiple batteries at the same time, and even the larger form factor batteries can be charged within 2 hours. Users appreciate the feature that allows the charger to show when a battery has reached at least 80% charge capacity and welcomed the upgrade from standard M18 chargers to the simultaneous, rapid-charging model.

Pros

  • 👍 Simultaneously charges two batteries
  • 👍 Offers rapid charging for larger batteries
  • 👍 Indicates when battery has reached 80% charge
  • 👍 Proven longevity and reliability

Should I Buy It?

If you're a contractor frequently using cordless tools or simply looking for a reliable dual battery rapid charger with high performance, the Milwaukee M18 is a great choice. Though it has minor imperfections including loud fan noise and the lack of M12 charging ports, its benefits far outweigh its drawbacks. It's worth the investment if you're using the M18 system on either a daily or semi-daily basis.

  • Quick charge
Needed a quick charger for the M18 batteries this fit the bill. Hopefully it’ll last long

  • Works great and fits the bill as it does 2 at a time.
Like most people that buy M18 tools as "kits" I have the standard charger which has the M12 charging unit as well, so I have that one mounted on my wall and this new RapidCharger mounted next to it. . I looked at the "SuperCharger" but it only does one M18 and one M12, so I felt (Since I have the standard charger already) this RapidCharger does the trick as it does two M18's simultaneously and performs well to charge even their largest battery, the 12.0, pretty quickly (I have the XC's, 4.0's, 8.0, 9.0 and now the 12.0). . It also has fans in it, so be prepared to hear the whurring when you insert the batteries, but once the batteries are at full charge and shows "green" the fans go off. . Nice unit, wall mount is the same screw/hole pattern as the standard charger too. ... show more

  • 2 - XC8.0, 0-100%, 71 minutes 37 seconds
Milwaukee's M18 dual bay, simultaneous rapidcharger is a contractor's dream if you have, as most have, moved to a primarily cordless toolbox. I can think of few things worse than running out of battery charge and then learning that the batteries that have been charging for some time aren't even close to finished charging. The cooling fan on the charger is audible inside a house, from several feet away. Once charging is complete, the fan turns off. Although it is recommended to only use a battery that has been fully charged, due to wear and tear on the battery cells. If you are desperate, using a battery that has reached 80% charge capacity or better causes less wear your batteries. Once a battery has reached a charge level of 80% or better the light on the charger will begin to slowly flash green, indicating such. I believe that you would be hard pressed to outrun this charger with several high demand tools and about a 6 to 8 count of batteries in your toolchest. I personally would recommend the 8 amp batteries if you are looking into the larger form factor batteries (6A, 8A, 9A, or 12A) for price to performance to size and weight, for me the XC8.0 batteries fall right in that sweet spot. Also, if you use the M18 system on a daily or even semi-daily basis, this is a most welcome upgrade from the standard M18 chargers; definitely worth it. 2 - M18 XC8.0, 0-80% in 60 minutes and 56 seconds 2 - M18 XC8.0, 0-100% in 71 minutes and 37 seconds ... show more

  • Rapid Charging - Worth the money
I absolutely love the rapid charging and it will charge 2 battery’s at the same time. I no longer wait hours for a large battery to charge the speed is greatness.

  • Works as promised
Works great, my 6ah batteries charge faster then I can kill them. 8/9/2022 update. This charger is AWESOME, hundreds of charges later and it is still humming along (they make a humming sound when they charge.) I can’t wait to try the even faster version when I eventually need another one. Still very happy I got it. ... show more

  • Slap it in
You need to slap in the battery. Don’t be general or the battery charge will not read the batter correctly and assume the battery is defective thus not charging it.

  • Typical Milwaukee charger qualitry
It would be even better if it had dual M12 charging ports as well. The dual charger is great since it charges both at the same time unlike the sequential one they make that does 1 at a time. that one makes no sense to me.
