I love the fact that it works with HomeKit. I can control it completely with Siri. The design is not all that cool, but it looks good enough the way I set it up (see photo).

It arrived on time, was well packaged and undamaged, and was very easy to assemble. The remote is handy and works well. I was ambivalent about the color temperature change ability when I bought it but it turns out to be a nice feature that is rather soothing late at night compared to fixed daylight color lamps. The power adapter plugs in at the lower end of the top section, which places it about midway up the pole when it is in floorlamp configuration, which might bother some people since the cord is more visible than one coming out at floor level, but in my case the wall wart is plugged into a headboard powerstrip so it is not an issue. I have not tried the automation function, so I do not know if there are any issues controlling it with Alexa or another home automation system via WiFi. ... show more

    • Great light but…
I love the lamp, it was easy to assemble and is just what I needed. My only problem is the app. It worked initially but then stopped working. I have tried to reset it repeatedly but it keeps saying that I have to reset it. When I do and try to set it up it says there is already a lamp in the app. I’ve tried resetting over and over. I tried throwing tha app away and starting over and that didn’t work. I contacted the seller and they said to reset it and I told them it didn’t work. Very frustrating but the light looks great, I just can’t use the app to turn it on and off or even worse, I can’t set a schedule which I loved doing! ... show more

It's so nice to say, "Hey Siri, turn on the reading lamp," and have it actually happen. (Turning it off works just as well!) It also will turn on at night when I return home after dark, so I don't have to fumble for the light switch. Setting it up for Apple Homekit, there is a little QR code on the back of the switch housing. When adding it to the Home app, just aim the camera at it and you have control over it. Very easy! It really gets the job done. The illumination is excellent. The circular surface spreads the light out, quashing any shadows very nicely for a nice, smooth illumination. This makes reading very comfortable. Being able to tone the light to a more yellow shade helps reduce eyestrain in the evening, and popping the shade up to a blue-white shade helps when I need to pick out details on things for other circumstances.
