I was surprised at the expense of light shades when I started looking and so, decided to check on Amazon and lo and behold what did I find? A great selection of light shades for very reasonable prices! I ordered two different styles/colors/sizes of the shades, to see what would work best. While the other set was of great quality, the ones I kept (shown in the picture) are what I feel looked better. I am keeping the other set just in case I want to change them out at some point. The color is a soft "spa" with a very slight grey tone. Working into a beach house with heavy use of green and aqua colors.     • Inexpensive alternative to a chandelier replacement
Shades came in well packaged with no damage. the color of the fabric is spot on! Being that this is a LINEN shade, when lit up the texture will show through. I wish they had a more refined fabric like silk that didn't have as much texture, but I loved the color too much to go with a different style. I paired these with a set of clear LED light bulbs in a 3000K temperature and they are perfect together. I prefer more contemporary/transitional, but not the cold modern look. You can go for maybe a 4000K light bulb if you want the shade to be more blue just be aware that the room will look cooler/bluer. ... show more

I needed 10 so the five pack was especially attractive. I was impressed with the look, feel and quality of the shades. They are an improvement over my previously too naked chandelier.

    • These are less expensive and look "okay"
Size: Set of 6 Color: Grey
The shades tend to sit crooked and are a little bigger than I had considered when I ordered them. The will do for now as a temporary fix, but saving up for a nice set from a lighting company. I would say if you can tolerate the crooked, they will be fine.
