Very pleasantly surprised! I got two of these to act as a fullsized bed when needed for company (with a few pillow toppers of course). But as loungers, they're very functional. I love being able to just pull out a section and suddenly have a bench. And j really didn't think much of the adjustable part, but some guests have found it really comfortable to use as a backrest for lounging in the sun. It is slightly firm and the bars can be felt at certain spots, but you would expect that given the design. Certainly not uncomfortable to sit on. There's very little assembly, which is a huge plus. I order a lot of furniture and am prepared for hours of assembly, but this just needed a few wheels screwed in. Simple. For my purposes I don't really use the back, but it very easily stores inside. I really like this ottoman, it’s cute, it is a pale pink and assembly was easy once I looked for a video on listing page showing what to do cuz I felt the instructions were kinda lacking with no written instructions. The “back rest” part was probably the most complicated to line up and slide down. It definitely isn’t something for a 6 ft tall person to sleep on but would be suitable in a pinch for someone shorter or children. It is not quality velvet, it is a very thin velvet, I initially thought it was just soft microfiber, jury might still be out on that one!! Overall for my intended use of just having something extra for visitors to sleep on if needed and the looks I gave it the 4 stars. This was really simple and quick to put together, great color, and seems sturdy so far. You can feel the frame in certain places, but that’s to be expected given how this type of furniture has to be constructed, and even so, it’s decently comfortable. I wouldn’t like to sleep on it nightly, but for a nap or an overnight guest, it’s a great option. ... show more

This item is lovely and works as described. We have two cats and they are pulling holes in it as they run across. I only had the item for a few weeks and can see where they have damaged it. the fabric is so thin they rip it and some of the cushion comes out behind like a pin cushion . The thing is too heavy to return and technically does work fine, just don’t buy if you have cats. Mine is kinda ruined after approx one month. Bad cats. Updated: they offered a partial refund as it is too big to return and I will use thick thread to sew stars on the rips. It may look cute or awful, but they attempted to help me. I really like this chair. Purchased for my sons playroom. He never really wanted to play in there alone because there was nowhere to sit but on the floor. Now he goes inside an will watch tv while playing with his toys. The chair is comfortable, for the price. My husband and I find ourselves in there just kicking back on our phones or watching TV. It was a great price and amazing size for the room. I love that I also now have something small that can work as a bed for anyone who needs to spend the night at our house.     • Directions are difficult to follow.
Great piece. A little confusing to set up. Looks nice and is surprisingly sturdy. Comfortable too. I’d give 5 stars if the directions were clearer. Make sure you tight the spinners for the footrest before trying to pull it up.
