This arm trainer is well made and it easily adjusts to different power levels. It has plenty of resistance and I can't budge it at the highest resistance level. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars, because of the feel of the resistance (hydraulic) , slow movement and at the end of the movement there is no resistance. It's a little weird, but you can get a good enough workout. I think you would do better doing pushups/pullups/chins and use this arm trainer as a supplement. I have mix feelings about this Trainer, and if it's really worthwhile, but it's still too early to make that decision. Update, raised my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars. I have been using this exerciser everyday and it is very good. It’s a very good upper body workout and worth buying. I have gotten use to the feel of the hydraulic resistance and enjoy using it.

This is easily the most versatile effective and portable exercise equipment I have ever used. What I like about it is very effective isolating various muscle groups in the back shoulders chest and arms. One thing that has to watched is the nuts and bolts that hold it together; overtime they may get loose. Just a regular screwdriver and a socket wrench or adjustable wrench is needed to tighten it. Considering most full size home gyms require maintenance this is not a big deal. I have used it for three weeks now; so far so good.

Just received it and first things first. Be careful when you take it out of the box, the bottom hook piece that's supposed to keep the arms locked detached and one of the arms swung open and almost hit me in the face. As far as function it does what it's supposed to but it is nowhere near 400lb of resistance, I'd say 150lbs at max. I'm an avid lifter and bench press 400lb+ but I bought this for my son to start him on some light resistance training. It seems well built but time will tell. I will continue to update this as time goes on.
