I needed a good sprinkler to water my new grass without moving it 6 times. This one did the job with 2 placements. First, there's no assembly. You think that's a joke but I bought sprinklers that needed to be assembled first. For the price it is very much worth it. I bought the metal base and I'm glad I did. It is extremely sturdy and even if it's not perfectly level, it doesnt tip over. Two, the multiple options for configuration are amazing. From wide to narrow, left to right, and more. This is a great sprinkler! You can change the settings to water as large or as small of a space you'd like. We have a spot in our yard that has been historically difficult to grow grass in, and this sprinkler has been very helpful in growing grass here! Easy to use, reliable, and a great value!

These are great sprinklers. You can easily customize where you want the water to hit, great for multi-size yards. My only complaint is that don't hold up long if left outside in the sun. The Melnor XT Turbo Oscillating Sprinkler does an excellent job watering my lawn. The coverage is wide and even, and I really like the adjustable settings that let me customize the watering area. The Quick Connect system is also convenient and makes setup fast and easy. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that some of the plastic components broke after only a few uses. The sprinkler still worked well initially, but I expected the plastic parts to be more durable for regular outdoor use. Overall, it's a very effective sprinkler with great performance and coverage, but the build quality could be improved. If Melnor used sturdier materials for some of the plastic pieces, this would easily be a 5-star product. ... show more

Today was my first time using it, and I was able to dial in all the settings for nearly perfect coverage across my entire yard. That might sound like a small thing, but after over a year of fighting with a Nelson square-pattern sprinkler that left rings of dead grass everywhere, it felt like a genuine relief. One caveat: I have only used it once, so I cannot speak to long-term durability. For a sprinkler this works good for watering the yard. I love how I can widen or narrow the width of the pattern. You can shorten the length of the pattern also. I have been using for a couple of weeks with no issues. Makes watering sod a lot easier.

I had to write this review because I really appreciate things that are well-designed and well-made. I live in a small city and my lawn is very small. The precision with which you can adjust the watering area with this sprinkler is remarkable. My old sprinkler was acceptable, but in truth I was putting a lot of water on the side of my house and in the street! And the controls are completely intuitive on this; I don't understand one review who said you will spend a lot of time getting wet. I set it up, watched how it watered, ran over and made a couple of quick adjustments, and then had the exact rectangle I wanted for watering. It also comes with their snap-on hose attachments, which was a clever inclusion because I immediately bought several more that I will attached to other watering implements that I own.
