Another mattress pad was delivered a couple of days later. I am literally the Princess and the Pea...could not get comfortable even with a brand new mattress. Although this mattress topper is very comfortable I recently discovered that this has been the source of years of back pain for me. The pain started a few months after buying this mattress topper but I could not pinpoint what was causing the pain, after all, this was a soft comfortable mattress to lie on, how could it cause me any pain? I think the main issue is that it does not give you the support you need and as a result can cause misalignment in one's spine over time. For me, it was causing pain in my lower back. After many visits with different chiropractors, my condition persisted and I didn't see any long-term improvement. I recently removed the mattress topper from my bed and to my surprise, my condition drastically improved after only a few days which led me to realize that all the pain I felt over the last 4 years may have been caused by the lack of support that this mattress topper failed to provide. I may be wrong about this but if anyone else has experienced any back pain I would urge them to consider removing this mattress topper just to see if their condition improves. ... show more
