I purchased this topper and a grounding sheet as I have been struggling to sleep since I dumped my prescription sleep meds after more than a decade of use. I can fall asleep, but without prescription meds, I would wake up at 2-3 am each morning. Melatonin etc do nothing for me. Don’t know if it’s the sheet or the mattress, but I’ve been sleeping through the whole night for over a week with no support from medication or remedies. What I can attribute to this mattress topper is the fact that I can now sleep on my left side without shoulder pain. Was definitely money well spent.

Well my mom came to me and asked one visit if I could find her a good 4 inch mattress topper for 150.00 or less and since a latex topper was out of the question due to her budget, I immediately thought of Lucid. I don’t actually have a Lucid topper, I have a different brand but when I was searching for my own topper a few years back, I almost went with Lucid because they have a metric ton of reviews and their rating is high and very few of them are negative giving how many purchases there have been. Well let me tell you, I’ve been hearing about this topper every morning for two days. My mom set it up on her bed to let it inflate and expand in the morning and she called me to tell me that half the day later it looked great. She ended up sleeping on it that night and she called raving the next morning to tell me how much she loved it and that she’s never slept better and that she should have ordered one years ago. She said she absolutely I didn’t want to get out of bed and that she couldn’t wait to go back to bed. Well she just called me again this morning, morning too, and you know what she said? “They’re right you really should wait a full 24 hours before sleeping on it. Then she began to tell me how how there is something about this mattress topper. She just can’t explain it, can’t put into words and that night two was even BETTER than night one. “Thank you thank thank you you are the best daughter EVER!!” “You knew exactly what to get me, this is perfect!!” “It”’s so soft and so supportive, it is such a dream!!” Seriously she’s been raving about this topper so much that I absolutely plan on ordering another one for myself lol. Oh let me clarify her mattress situation. She had a mattress that she had put in storage probably 10 years ago. She barely used it. Well she has been using the mattress for a few years and had gotten a topper for a different mattress maybe 5 or 6 years ago. When she moved she brought out the old barely used mattress and was using the topper she had been using but that topper finally broke down and had a dip in it. Her mattress may be fairly unused but it’s old. Kind of like buying a basic smartphone with chintzy features. Sure the device might be brand new but the tech inside is from the electronic Stone Age. That’s her mattress. In the world of mattresses, it’s old tech LOL. This topper and a mattress cover I got to go with, brought that mattress into 2022. She absolutely adores it, so much so that I will be getting one to put on top of my mattress even though I have a 3 inch latex mattress topper. I want to experience “THE DREAM” my mom has been raving about for two days. So not only do I recommend it to you, I recommend it to myself! Just be sure to lay it out and give it a full 24 hours to rise. It will look like a flat lumpy pancake when it first comes out the package, believe me, it fills out to fabulous awesomeness after 24 hours.

For the cheap price I wasn't expecting it to be good, but turns out it is SO comfortable! I have scoliosis and rods in my spine so I was worried it wouldn't be soft enough, but it's amazing. It's so soft you sink into it. Don't be discouraged that it is bumpy when you unroll it. You have to press on it and lay on it a few nights for it to become less bumpy and more smooth. I've never tried memory foam before so it took getting used to, but I love it!

So far we are on day 3 and are not sure! It seems to be a bit firmer now where the first two days we felt like we got sucked in the mattress topper. But now it feels better. More balanced. I will edit this review every few days. So far we are not sure if we want to keep it

Seriously, my prayers have been answered. I only wish I would have thought to invest in this mattress topper while I was pregnant. It might have saved me a huge headache (literally). I've never had much luck with mattresses, but I've never really blamed the mattresses - because I suck at sleeping. Apparently, I'm a contortionist in my sleep and do things with my body that would give little Linda Blair a run for her money. I wake up a million times a night with pains in my head, my neck, my back, my hips, my legs, literally everywhere. However, I've had a friend come over to help with my new baby and I happen to have the same mattress in the guest room that I have in my main bedroom. She brought it up to me one day that her hip and lower back were killing her since sleeping on the mattress in the guest room- even though it is a pretty expensive pillow-top brand. She asked me if I could order her some kind of mattress topper from Amazon and she'd reimburse me. At this point, I had been in so much agony myself that I got two - one for the guest bed and one for mine. And if it weren't for the fact that I only have nightmares, I'd insist that I'm dreaming up this amazing experience with this mattress topper. I mean, I really don't even have words for this thing. I'm not pain free - because, well, it's gonna take a lot of time to undo that kind of damage. But I have noticed a dramatic difference. My body feels so soothingly cradled. I'm not tossing and turning constantly trying to get comfortable. It's just pure bliss. This may sound strange, but it feels like a hug. It does. It really does. Like a hug from the Pillsbury Dough Boy. Some Technical Details: 1) It was very easy to set up. 2) There was only a very faint odor that dissipated almost immediately. 3) I was so desperate to use it that I didn't even wait the full 48 hours as suggested but it seemed to be super plump straight out of the box. The density is perfect for me. 4) It fit absolutely perfectly across my king-sized bed 5) It appears to be of durable quality unlike some toppers I have seen or used in the past that easily shred or discolored. Time will be the ultimate test so I can't 100 percent guarantee this but judging from observation this would appear to be the case. I will update as necessary. 6) It does live up to the claim about not retaining heat and keeping the body a cool and comfortable temperature (which is crucial for a person like me because I practically need to live in an igloo). So yes, I'm very impressed thus far and absolutely I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. I've honestly never been this excited to go to sleep. My fiance loves it and he was a bit upset that I got it in the first place because he loved the mattress the way it was, but now he loves THIS more. And even my little doggie who has become a neurotic mess since my baby was born seems to be a tad more comforted and peaceful sleeping next to me now. Just writing about it makes me want to go upstairs and jump in bed. I'm starting to wonder if they put something inside this thing if you know what I'm talking about, because I'm addicted. Just kidding... Maybe.
