  • Great curriculum that is student led
We’ve used horizon math for 2 years for my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th graders and have loved how easy to it to follow and learn. The pages are colorful and engaging. It’s circular repetition is very beneficial for my kids and I feel like they are getting a great math education. We do supplement another workbook to really help them master their math facts but these books are terrific. ... show more

l have 12 homeschooled children and love the Horizons Math Curriculum for my 8 adopted ones (7 of these kids had to change languages & cultures); note that each grade has two books for a full year's work. I usually buy them at homeschool conferences, but ran short (somebody lost their math book!). This "used" copy that I bought came in perfectly usable condition. Easy to use; I don't even bother with teacher's manual's or answer keys, but I love math, so some mom's (and dad's) would want answer keys for 3rd and 4th grade just to make life easier. I switch to another math curriculum after 4th grade, so I can only tell you that the K-4th Horizons' Math is a great workbook curriculum. ... show more

  • Good math program
Horizons is a good math program, but kind of on the expensive side.

  • Perfect!
Better than described! Just like new! The outside was a little rough- but the inside was brand new! Perfect!!! Saves this homeschooling family some money!

  • Great math.
My favorite math for homeschooling. My kids do well, with it, and it is thorough. The teacher's guide is not always helpful, but I don't worry about that for 2nd grade. It's the older years that seem to make that more difficult. You can usually find these cheaper elsewhere, but I needed it in a pinch and was glad to find it on Amazon with prime shipping. ... show more

  • Horizons is our favorite. Colorful pages
Horizons is our favorite. Colorful pages, each lesson is just one or two pages and the spiral learning is perfect for my 1st grader who loves math but loves art and color even more. Seems to be building an excellent foundation for the future.

  • Good math curriculm for most learners
Horizons math 1 can be accomadated for most any learners. It reviews over and over which is a great tool for struggling learners. For a faster pace child, it can get a little repeative, but that can easily be fixed by allowing the child to skip over some of the repeated problems and move through the book at a faster pace. The book is very colorful. For one of my kids that was a good thing bc he loves art and color. For another of my kids, the color was to much. He has ADHD and did better with another math curriculm that was only black and white. I do like Horizons 1 bc it teaches basic math for a really good price. You will need manupulatives to use with it. Either purchases separately or made at home. Def would recommend for basic early math! ... show more
