We purchased the Midline Comfortable Folding Wheelchair for my 88-year-old mother-in-law, and it has been an excellent choice. She uses it daily for outings and appointments, and we’ve been very pleased with how comfortable and user-friendly it is, for both her and the person pushing it. The seat padding is thicker than expected, which is important for long periods of sitting. She’s on the petite side, and the chair fits her nicely without feeling bulky. The armrests and footrests are well-designed, and she especially appreciates how easy it is to get in and out of the chair. For caregivers, this wheelchair is a win, it folds easily, fits in the trunk without trouble, and is light enough to lift without straining your back. While it was a perfect fit, the tires are incredibly problematic. The hard plastic is slippery and makes pushing yourself on anything other than indoor flooring nearly impossible. If you want an indoor ONLY wheelchair, this one is for you!! I got this because it was all we could afford and now I’m trying to figure out how to cut and paste tire bits on there *UPDATE* I tried to get new tires to put on it with a tread, and I cant physically get the bolts undone or the wheels off to save my life. This is an aid for disabled people. It should NEVER require a nondisabled person to change a tire. Because of that and the severe pain in my hands and arms for trying so hard, 1 more star has been removed ... show more
