  • Adjustable Height: The medium doggie door for the sliding door frame adjusts from 75 7/8" to 81" in height, with a glass door width of 12.8". This fits most villa and patio sliding glass doors. To ensure the correct height, measure from the top track to the inner bottom track of your aluminum sliding door frame.
  • Perfect for Medium Pets: Our sliding glass door pet door features a semi - transparent flap that measures 8.1 wide by 12.3 high. This size provides a clear view and easy passage for pets weighing up to 40 pounds. Additionally, it comes with a safety lock, enhancing home security while allowing you to control your pet's access.
  • Energy Efficient & Weatherproof: Our medium doggie door for sliding doors is crafted with a robust aluminum frame, a magnetic - seal flap, windproof strips, and a convenient slide - in closure panel. • Follow instructions, decently built product.
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Large - 1 Flap
Door was relatively easy to assemble. Helps to have someone else but not necessary. I would recommend putting a lock bar on the sliding door (might need to do some cutting). Door is relatively slim so it’s easy to pass around it. The lock for the cover hits the sliding door but I just hold it open till im done. The shims on the new lock made it easy to keep it even and locks great but I had to install weather stripping on the sliding door and put the rubber strip on the new doggie door now it seems perfectly and feels very snug (no air coming thru). Bolting the bottom part is a bit confusing just do your best and make sure it’s not wobbly. Not sure how sturdy the glass is against hail so I’ll update later if it breaks 😂 large seems to fit 75 pound golden retriever. It looks a bit snug but I think it’s perfect. He is still a bit scared to go thru it. I will say that with very strong winds the flap does open and shut but it’s not nearly as bad as my old one so I don’t mind. The screws for the upper and lower locks that keep the door from opening are a bit short which might be a safety concern, I ended up using my own screw for that. Very solid build all metal. You’ll have to do some drilling into the wall to make it easier for the screws to go into the wall! Instructions were clear on everything except the part of the rail since the piece doesn’t fit snug. Will not stress enough that the extra weather stripping can be used between the two doors to prevent air coming thru!!!!! Will update later on it’s durability since it’s gonna start storming and hailing in Texas over the next few months ... show more

  • Super easy to Install Super easy to Install
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Xlarge - 1 Flap
This was super easy to install. It is a lot lighter than I though it would be but is still very sturdy for the material. The instructions in the manual are not completely clear but still easy to follow. They do provide a web address to the YouTube video which made it a lot easier. We LOVE the fact that we can open the door so we can still easily move chairs and other items in and out. The dogs are still not sure about using the door, but they will get used to it. Our original door is really old but this still fit and the door does close and seal really well. Our largest dog is 50lbs and he has already jumped on the glass and licked it and the door held very well, no buckling or bending. The quality of the materials are great. To me they material is the same as most quality storm doors. The only aspect we did not like is the plate that slides over the dog door. You can lock it so that it can not be lifted, which is great. However, the lock is only on one side. This does not hold the panel up very well when it is in the up position. The panel will lean to the side and it falls back in. We just take the panel out and leave it next to the door for when we need it. Leaving it on the door poses a risk of injury to you pet. We do recommend to the seller to add a better locking feature for hold the panel in place. All in all, it is well worth the money for my sanity. My dogs love going in and out for patrol and potty breaks. During spring and fall we just leave the doors open, but for winter and summer, that is not feasible. This door will allow our animals the ability to patrol the house and the yard as they deem necessary. ... show more

  • Great door
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Large - 3 Flap
Let me just say this door will test your patience, the video is NO help. It took us 2 hours to get it together and a lot of cussing. There has to be an easier way, like spring load or something to make it easier to install the frame. After the frame was in, level, screwed into the sliding door frame it was easy putting the rest together. The door itself is nice and looks so much better than the slide in doggy door I previously had. It’s sturdy , the door swings open nicely. There was a small gap but the weatherstripping helped that. The 3 layer flap is stiff which is great and the magnetic strip works really well. My pups had somewhat of a problem opening it but quickly learned to put a little more paw in to it. Over all it’s a great door and worth the money. ... show more

  • Overall solid choice
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Xlarge - 1 Flap
Quality and appearance are good. The installation is definitely a project (4-6hours) and required good handyman skills. The instructions were pretty good, but our door required some modifications. Overall, it's worth the time and effort. Looks great and seems like it will last for years to come.

  • Love the idea, but it is not perfect Love the idea, but it is not perfect
After installing this dog door, theses are my experiences to share and some comparisons with my previous dog door. The pictures describe some of the issues encountered. First, I think this dog door is more substantial than my previous one, it is heavier and the glass feels thicker. Obviously, the major appeal is the ability to open and close the door for human access. The installation is much more permanent (with self tapping wood screws onto the frame) than wedging the dog door in between the sliding door and frame. Second, I encountered some instructional assembly issues. I'm not sure if the hinged glass panel and the hinged dog door were supposed to be installed onto the frame already (that's how they were packaged in the box). The instruction showed every piece unassembled. So it took me a minute to reorient and trace the steps. I still ended up with a few extras screws. I only had 1 option to fit the dog door in my sliding door frame track, which is in the middle of the sliding door track. I would've liked to fit the door in one side of the track or the other, but the door and the gap are both exactly the same width. So I positioned the gap on the bottom of the dog door over the middle track of the sliding door frame. Then, I screwed the dog door frame to the sliding door frame and added some seal strips to wedge the gap on the interior/exterior and top/bottom of the dog door. For now, with this dog door, I opted not to use the dog door lock. It impedes with the metal door when I try to slide it up and down to open and close. When the lock is unlocked, it also impedes with the closure of my glass sliding door. I did not use the regular door lock because I don't want to drill into my sliding door. To "lock" my door, I use a sliding door security bar, aka. a piece of wooden dowel in the door track. The dowel also helped to push the sliding door against the dog door for a better seal. Compare to my previous dog door (which had its own installation issues), I do like this door better. I really do like the ease of locking and unlocking the human door with a simple push of the locks. It took (embarrassingly) a lot longer to assemble and install this door. However, I think I am just more particular about how my sliding door operates with the dog door. I am also more aware of how my dogs sometime rushes out the door and can "abuse" and shift the door. So, I appreciate the long screws in the door frame, and I also spent more time sealing and wedging the gaps to keep the door as stable as possible. I was able to address most of the gaps all along the door. The top of the door is unleveled, but I just need to tinker with it a bit more. It is very irritating that the included seal strips are not great... the only one I think works adequately is the white, flat, rubber-like seal strip along the exterior border of the whole dog door. I think this is a great idea for dogs and humans... however, there are still several issues to work out, e.g., upgrade the seal strips which could solve over 75% of review complaints. The product still needs some reevaluation on the design, e.g., smaller dog door lock, placement of it, or widening the frame by a few cm more. When compared to my other dog door, the metal frame feels more robust and the opening is slightly taller for my huskies. The dog door flap feels heavier and thicker, but I don't think my dogs like the darker gray color... they can't see through it and they think the door is closed... finding the flap replacement may also pose an issue down the road. I wouldvebliked double flaps or something for a better seal and prevent heat/cool air loss. The single flap doesn't really align perfectly with the magnetic strip in the dog frame. Overall, I really like the whole idea of this door. There are good and negative points with this openable dog door. The price point is comparable to the traditional full frame dog door. But, everytime I find a feature I like, there is an issue with the installation, assembly, size, positioning, etc... so it requires substantial personal "customization." In the end, if I had to choose between this and the traditional wall cut out or other full framed sliding dog doors, I think I would pick this product... but it is not quite perfect and requires substantial preparation and time to make this work. ... show more

  • Game Changer!!!! Game Changer!!!!
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Large - 1 Flap
Not only is this sliding glass door pet door affordable, the engineering concept of a swing-out slider doggie door is just plain brilliant! We bought the regular Large size. First things first! Watch the installation video on YouTube and read through the rather vague instruction manual “twice” BEFORE you assemble anything. You will notice they don’t align in terms of the assembly steps, but they’ll help you get the job done more efficiently. Both the installation video and the written instructions could be better. ;) A single person could certainly install this by themselves, although it is definitely easier with an extra set of hands. When we assembled the door frame bracket ( ] ) the upper portion of the bracket was screwed to the side frame per the instructions. However, the top screws needed to be unscrewed when installing the patio door frame so you can extend the frame to fit the opening (don’t forget to use the little piece of cardboard as the top spacer with the sticker on it that says “save this piece of cardboard” on it). Lucky for us our door was plumb and square so no issues with that thankfully, although shims are provided. We also have a “slide rail” on the bottom track of our door so we did not need to screw the bottom frame bracket into the slider frame and it fit nice and snug so we didn’t need the T brackets either. Upon opening we saved the shipping box, opened it up and laid it on our kitchen table to use as our “work area” while we assembled the sections of the door. If you have any magnet trays or bowls, use those to keep screws from rolling around. With both of us working together, it took us just under two hours to install the door, BUT, that included a trip to Home Depot to get upgraded weatherstripping. We did not use any of the weatherstripping included in the packaging. We bought three sizes and types of white rubber weatherstripping plus upgraded ¼” “brush” weatherstripping and installed different ones around the door to get the best possible seal. Our door is sealed tight and is very snug. It snows here so a good weather seal is important. It does come with a door lock that can be installed, but that lock installation requires you to drill holes into the interior side of the sliding glass door panel above your handle, which we didn’t like. Instead we opted to use the old-fashioned screw-tight door/window frame locks for the top and bottom of the door if we need to lock the slider. The door is surprising well-built for the price. We bought a name brand pet door from Home Depot for our bedroom slider years ago that cost more money and isn’t as functional and this one is easily as good, if not better quality. We LOVE that it unlocks and swings open if we need more room or have people over. The parts all fit together well, it is nicely made of sturdy aluminum, and the locks and door flap are certainly as good as any other similar slider pet doors you would get at a big box store. Highly recommend! We have an 80 lb Labradoodle, a Sheltie and a Pomeranian, plus two cats who use this door. The magnets are pretty strong so it requires the smaller animals to push a little harder, but they all figured it out pretty quick. ... show more

  • Satisfactory
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Xlarge - 1 Flap
There were just a tad bit confusing instructions when it came to using the t-shaped anchors at the bottom. This product is very well engineered and I enjoy it heavily works amazing, decently sturdy. (Obviously wont stand again someone who really wants to break in, but neither will a glass patio door) I caveat, I wish the door sealed a bit better. Overall though this was a great purchase, and being able to swing open the door to reclaim the rest of your patio is phenomenal. ... show more

  • Nice idea, flawed execution Nice idea, flawed execution
Color: 81" Sliding Door Size: Xlarge - 1 Flap
Not sure who thought having 1 clip to hold the metal panel up was a good idea, but it just doesn't work. One slight bump and the panel tips, making a load noise and it scared one of my dogs so now he doesn't want to use it. The panel was one of the reasons I chose this product. It was easy to install, I did it myself, and it fit my odd sized door frame. I like that it locks and opens full as well. Seems sturdy and the magnetic flap is a nice touch. Weatherstripping is provided to go on the outside of the door, but the adhesive doesn't stick very well. Other than the couple of issues, it's overall a good door. ... show more
