This was super easy to install. It is a lot lighter than I though it would be but is still very sturdy for the material. The instructions in the manual are not completely clear but still easy to follow. They do provide a web address to the YouTube video which made it a lot easier. We LOVE the fact that we can open the door so we can still easily move chairs and other items in and out. The dogs are still not sure about using the door, but they will get used to it. Our original door is really old but this still fit and the door does close and seal really well. Our largest dog is 50lbs and he has already jumped on the glass and licked it and the door held very well, no buckling or bending. The quality of the materials are great. To me they material is the same as most quality storm doors. The only aspect we did not like is the plate that slides over the dog door. You can lock it so that it can not be lifted, which is great. However, the lock is only on one side. This does not hold the panel up very well when it is in the up position. The panel will lean to the side and it falls back in. We just take the panel out and leave it next to the door for when we need it. Leaving it on the door poses a risk of injury to you pet. We do recommend to the seller to add a better locking feature for hold the panel in place. All in all, it is well worth the money for my sanity. My dogs love going in and out for patrol and potty breaks. During spring and fall we just leave the doors open, but for winter and summer, that is not feasible. This door will allow our animals the ability to patrol the house and the yard as they deem necessary.

We have two large dogs and it has been a challenge to find a dog door that is big enough for them to go in and out. This dog door has been a dream come true for us. We do not have to get up and down to let our dogs out anymore. We have a Rhodesian Ridgeback that is 150 pounds and a Pyrenees poodle mix that is 75 pounds. They can go in and out of the very large Dog door with ease. So far, we have not had any issues with bugs or other animals coming through the door. Seems to have a really strong magnet on the flap. There is a locking mechanism that does fit very snuggly. I always make sure to have the mechanism locked so when the dogs go in and out of the door, it does not dislodge the door for any reason. It seems to be a good price for a good quality door. The only con that I can see is that I cannot find a replacement flap and magnetic parts by that company. I will have to search for generic options for when the flap rips. I would assume with these large dogs eventually it would rip. Easy setup! The only con with the door is occasionally if there’s a really strong wind, the flap does seem to flop open and close occasionally. My cat did try to escape once, but quickly came right back in in fear of the outdoors.

Let me just say this door will test your patience, the video is NO help. It took us 2 hours to get it together and a lot of cussing. There has to be an easier way, like spring load or something to make it easier to install the frame. After the frame was in, level, screwed into the sliding door frame it was easy putting the rest together. The door itself is nice and looks so much better than the slide in doggy door I previously had. It’s sturdy , the door swings open nicely. There was a small gap but the weatherstripping helped that. The 3 layer flap is stiff which is great and the magnetic strip works really well. My pups had somewhat of a problem opening it but quickly learned to put a little more paw in to it. Over all it’s a great door and worth the money.

I recently purchased this Sliding Glass Pet Door and it’s been a great addition to our home. The installation was straightforward, the instructions were clear, and the door fits securely in the track of our sliding glass door. I also watched a youtube video they offer to help with the installation. Our pet learned to use it very quickly and now goes in and out without us having to constantly open the door. The flap closes well and helps keep the cold and bugs outside. The materials feel sturdy and well made. I was also impressed with the customer service. The seller was very responsive and helpful with my questions about extra locks for the access door. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would recommend this pet door to other pet owners.

This is a fantastic alternative to the old fixed-style pet doors. I’m genuinely impressed by the quality, durability, and ease of installation. For what’s currently available on the market, this exceeded my expectations. The adjustable height was accurate, and the all-metal frame feels sturdy and built to last. Functionality is excellent, and value-wise, it’s a smart investment. The included locking panel works well, and my dog had no trouble learning to use it. That said, there are a few improvements that could really take this to the next level. I’d love to see an option for a handle on either side, allowing easier open/close access whether you’re inside or outside. An adjustable hinge system rather than fixed hinges would also make installation much more forgiving—especially in cases where there’s slight flex in the frame. Even something as simple as spring-loaded hinge points could make alignment easier during install. It would allow the user to compress the frame slightly while fitting it in place, then let the springs help stabilize it as it locks into full position. That would be a game-changer for solo installers. But even with these small areas for improvement, I’m completely happy with this product. It does the job, looks clean, and has held up beautifully.

I loved the idea of being able to open the door for full access. I’ve had this door for about 5 months and feel I can provide a pretty decent review on how it’s functioned for me. The big issues that reduce stars for me: 1. No instructions were given for install. I had to find a video of installation which has no steps or audio so you just have to follow along hoping you’re interpreting the steps correctly, lots of rewinding each section. Pretty time consuming but I managed. *see update below* 2. The door only hinges one way - this is a BIG DEAL. *see update below* Because my slider opens from the right this doggy door opens outward. Which means when I swing the doggy door out I’ve lost all functionality of my screen door latching to the frame (the doggy door blocks it). If I want to keep the slider open and allow fresh air my screen just has to rest on the doggy door and any wind causes the door to swing, so I have to brace it. I’ve made it work. For a more permanent solution I may try removing the hinges and drilling them to the other side so it swings inside. Idk if I’ll have this long enough to make it worth it.. leading me to my final point. 3. The flap is not secured well. In less than 5 months the plastic piece that hooks the flap has broken in half, leave only 2 of the 4 screws holding it on (lost a 3rd screw while making this review). I reached out about a month ago about replacement, with no response. If the flap won’t last half a year and I can’t replace it, I can’t vouch for this item. *see update below* This is a great concept, I was so excited about it for summer time! The design definitely needs some work. Disappointed. **Updated to Add** Adjusted my rating from 1 to 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. I have since had a lot of communication with the seller. They did send me a replacement for the door flap and connector. 2. This item has been updated to clearly state the door only opens one-way - so you’re not surprised like I was. Would love to see the hinges modifiable (like adhered with screws so we can changed the direction) for more flexibility, maybe on the next model. 3. I decided to test if my issue with the top of the flap breaking is because we need a larger size, so I ordered and installed the XL, for science. The XL came with an actual installation guidebook so that (and the fact I’ve already built and installed this once) made the install process so much quicker! I’ll update in a few months re: durability of the XL. Maybe we can give this item 4-5 stars!

In spite of the good reviews, I was skeptical about this door. It seemed too good to be true at this price, so my expectations were hopeful but not high. I was impressed as soon as I opened the box. Upon first glance, the product quality looked great. It took my sister and I about 2.5 hrs from start to finish to install it. A lot of thought went into this design. The manufacturers thought of just about everything. There are 2 key features that they missed though. I was disappointed that there were no door handles included, but I can add my own. I also would've like to have had some kind of latch to keep the flap cover from sliding down so you don't have to remove it completely. Lastly, I would've preferred a clear flap, rather than a frosted one. My pups are a bit skiddish about going thru the frosted flap. These things aside, the quality and function of this door are excellent. I would highly recommend.

Not only is this sliding glass door pet door affordable, the engineering concept of a swing-out slider doggie door is just plain brilliant! We bought the regular Large size. First things first! Watch the installation video on YouTube and read through the rather vague instruction manual “twice” BEFORE you assemble anything. You will notice they don’t align in terms of the assembly steps, but they’ll help you get the job done more efficiently. Both the installation video and the written instructions could be better. ;) A single person could certainly install this by themselves, although it is definitely easier with an extra set of hands. When we assembled the door frame bracket ( ] ) the upper portion of the bracket was screwed to the side frame per the instructions. However, the top screws needed to be unscrewed when installing the patio door frame so you can extend the frame to fit the opening (don’t forget to use the little piece of cardboard as the top spacer with the sticker on it that says “save this piece of cardboard” on it). Lucky for us our door was plumb and square so no issues with that thankfully, although shims are provided. We also have a “slide rail” on the bottom track of our door so we did not need to screw the bottom frame bracket into the slider frame and it fit nice and snug so we didn’t need the T brackets either. Upon opening we saved the shipping box, opened it up and laid it on our kitchen table to use as our “work area” while we assembled the sections of the door. If you have any magnet trays or bowls, use those to keep screws from rolling around. With both of us working together, it took us just under two hours to install the door, BUT, that included a trip to Home Depot to get upgraded weatherstripping. We did not use any of the weatherstripping included in the packaging. We bought three sizes and types of white rubber weatherstripping plus upgraded ¼” “brush” weatherstripping and installed different ones around the door to get the best possible seal. Our door is sealed tight and is very snug. It snows here so a good weather seal is important. It does come with a door lock that can be installed, but that lock installation requires you to drill holes into the interior side of the sliding glass door panel above your handle, which we didn’t like. Instead we opted to use the old-fashioned screw-tight door/window frame locks for the top and bottom of the door if we need to lock the slider. The door is surprising well-built for the price. We bought a name brand pet door from Home Depot for our bedroom slider years ago that cost more money and isn’t as functional and this one is easily as good, if not better quality. We LOVE that it unlocks and swings open if we need more room or have people over. The parts all fit together well, it is nicely made of sturdy aluminum, and the locks and door flap are certainly as good as any other similar slider pet doors you would get at a big box store. Highly recommend! We have an 80 lb Labradoodle, a Sheltie and a Pomeranian, plus two cats who use this door. The magnets are pretty strong so it requires the smaller animals to push a little harder, but they all figured it out pretty quick.
