So unfortunately I had to return this item because after I installed it, there was no longer enough room for me to walk through the door space. I would have to turn sideways to get through. But let me tell you this door is great! The install and directions were going to be so easy and the ability to be able to open the door up is unmatched. I was so bummed that I wasn't able to keep this product. If you are looking for a doggie door, this is the one. Just make sure you pay attention to the measurements of the dog panel flap and the entire insert. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Almost Everything about this door is great. The weather stripping that came with it is decent, screws bite right into metal and cement to install! The only issue I have is the closing door lock does not hold the door up! I attached a video for explanation. I will only be using it closed and locked, I will remove it rather than locking it in the up position and risk it falling on my pets. Great value for the money, absolutely surprising amount of kit to secure this thing.

We bought this dog door because we rent and did not want to cut a hole in the side of the house. Our landlord would have been ok with that but we didn’t want to have to patch it when we move. This door is fantastic. It opens up to make the door wider. The sliding door latches to it for a lock. The only downside is there isn’t enough weather stripping but that is easily fixed. This is a great option! Please excuse the dirty window. It’s the country. Nothing stays pristine out here but the air!

The instructions are out of order and need to be rewritten for easier use. They don’t properly identify all the parts or properly. They don’t cover door position i.e middle, front, or back. The instruction video was not helpful.

Absolutely brilliant! ... and I realized how brilliant the first time I tried to carry in a basket of firewood .. this would 100% not been possible if this pet insert would not also open like a door. I have to say that some of the parts could be a bit more sturdy and this insert is definitely not a temporary solution .. it is very much a permanent installation ... but none of that takes away from the fact that it also swings open if needed! It took the dog less than 5 days to figure it out and now she runs through it like she has never done anything else :) At first I taped the flap open to get her the idea that this is where the hole is ... after hat gentle coercion with treats did the trick. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase.
