I bought for of these for my dogs' kennel. They work great and it has now been a over a year. The one thing I am trying to find is a replacement for the slide on magnetic piece for the bottom of the door. I have had two crack and one of those finally fell off. I would think they would sell replacement pieces. I have gone to their website with no luck. I will email and see if I can get someone to sell me about 10. I will update if I find the part or a part that will work.

After a lot of searching for the "right" dog door for us, we finally settled on this one. We liked the door style (different from the flap ones that the dogs walk under). The install was fairly easy (probably would have been more difficult for me without my husband) and so far we have liked it pretty good. We have two 100-lb. labradors and a 59 lb English Bulldog. After a little coaxing, each dog was able to figure it out within a day or so, and we love that they can freely come in and out of the house now (and we still have the option to lock them out (or in) if needed. The ONE drawback, so far, is this --- our house is East facing. The door is installed on our kitchen door going out to our back patio. Since we've installed it, the temps have been in the 90s+. In the heat of the day, the door will actually stick open somewhat and we have to manually close them. It is a little annoying. It doesn't happen when it's cooler in the day, only when it's really hot and the sun is beating down on it. We have tried putting WD-40 on the hinges, sanding some spots down to allow it to swing more freely, but nothing has worked so far. My husband's next option is to maybe add some washers (we haven't tried it yet though). If that wasn't an issue, I would give this four stars. I assume some of the parts are swelling or something in the heat. It probably isn't a defect on the door itself, but rather a temperature issue (though I didn't find any warnings on the product paperwork). I'm a little concerned about winter time (I'd hate for all our heat to escape if they get frozen or stuck open then!

This doggie door has a panel that slides in and can be locked. It is built of metal/and hard plastic. It is really sturdy and safe. Now we can keep out dog who figutess out how to open doggie doors inside!!

Door itself has had no issues but flap cracked last week. Contacted for replacement and let them know I need right away as we can't close this off because our dogs run goes straight into the basement. They came back in 48 hours stating they needed photos to provide the correct replacement. Sent photos. No answer. Tried to go online and just buy a large replacement and only xlarge was available. Went to website and said ships in 1 to 2 months. Now forced to go buy one locally and replace since I can't wait weeks to close in my basement in sub freezing weather.

The door looks great, installation was very straight forward and pretty easy. I noticed that the flap had a few small gaps as seen in the photo. I contact customer support and the were great and sent me a new flap right away. The only issue is that flap has the exact same gap.

I really like the door; however, and I don’t know how I didn’t catch this until the very last step of installing - they did NOT pre-drill holes into the frame like almost every other dog door company does. This was extremely frustrating since this door is Rugged Aluminum. The directions say to evenly place the rivets or the screws which they have provided —which is sort of a given. One would think each corner and top and bottom in the middle - WRONG. If you put one in the middle at the top - then you end up not being able to slide the locking door in therefore scraping the aluminum edges off of the locking door (see pictures) and you’re left with a hole in the top which I suppose isn’t so terribly bad but still unsightly. Not to mention that the screws they provide do not drive through the frame and I stripped every single one of them EVEN when I had pre drilled the holes myself. Bottom line - easy installation by rear end. I thought about requesting a replacement but I’d rather deal with what I have than ever install this door again.
