  • Projection Mapping Hack
The media could not be loaded. I bought two of these to use in my indoor, blacklight miniature golf course, and they work great. They are super easy to use with no need for coding or programming knowledge. I created two videos, put them both in usb drives and hooked those into the devices which are connected to projectors. After some easy selection on the main menu, everything is ready to roll! Some times there are minor glitches, but I can live with that. Will probably get another very soon! ... show more

  • Awesome for triggered Halloween videos.
GREAT little player! It starts up and plays a looping standby video, then when triggered, it jumps to a second video. After it plays that, it returns to the first video. The loops are not seamless, but at least they do not go to a black screen. There is a slight pause before it repeats. It comes with the power adapter and a plug-in that has some screw terminals for hooking up a dry contact button or sensor. It can also be controlled using TTL serial commands from a micro like an Arduino. This gives you much greater capabilities, like triggering 200 different video files. MedeaWiz also has a multi-input board that plugs in, which basically has it's own inputs and then sends serial commands to the box. Using that, you could have this run an info kiosk with multiple videos triggered by buttons. Another company makes a DMX interface for it. So far, so good. It comes with a remote and has a simple on-screen menu system to set it up (and select trigger mode, serial control, etc.). Great pre and post sale support from MedeaWiz, too. ... show more

  • Great Trigger Media Player for Digital Signage
We operate a wind energy museum and have been looping videos for some time. We wanted a push-button start instead, and this is the perfect little media player. I read the manual before purchase, prepared the media files on an SD card, and ordered the plug ($5 or so) to wire my push button. The player arrived today, and I had it running within five minutes. This unit is a bit more expensive than our other unit, but it is much better quality. I am thrilled with this unit and would (and will) purchase this again. ... show more

  • Works great, great price
We use these in museum exhibits for looping videos and button triggered videos. Simple to set up, small footprint and great price. The only drawbacks are that the menu is not the easiest to navigate, and the remote has a narrow range so It has to be pointed directly at the IR receiver. Nevertheless this has become my go to media player for exhibits. ... show more

  • Conversion software limited - Audio & Video not synced from .MP4 file
Had a Micca Spec G2 player and then bought this MedeaWiz® DV-S1 Sprite® Looping HD Media Player - both units do not convert .MP4 file accurately and the audio & video were not in sync. Files would play accurately on multiple computers and on the TV directly. The tv just doesn't allow looping. Disappointing as this unit says it has this capability. ... show more

  • Great little device
I purchased the Sprite and the Hydra (for the extra inputs). Needed to switch several videos in and out with a PLC controller. After a few emails with tech support, I got everything running perfectly. Will be using both devices on a future project!

  • Does not scale to size JPG images.
Unit worked well, played ALL .jpg images which the Micca MPLAY-HD Mini did NOT do. The ability to use a switch to go to a specific slide was a cool feature, but the unit was twice the price of its competition..However, not being able to scale images meant that I had to do so manually on all slides, and that's just too much work and silly for a unit of this price and capability. I returned it and went with the Dolamee D3 PRO Android box with a $15 app call Video Kiosk that got the job done, scales properly and boots into the slideshow on powerup. The Android was more versatile, half the price, and had a bluetooth remote, so no line of sight issues. ... show more

  • Good customer service!
I had a problem and they solved it right away. In the end it was not the fault of the product. I only wish these were priced to be more completive with the other triggerable media players that cost $35. I would have purchased 3 of them if that had been the price. But you are paying 3 times as much for this "Sprite" to not have a visible pause between video's as the competitors products do. ... show more
