Just installed the 10 inch sub yesterday and so far it's exactly what I needed in my 20 Silverado. Gives you that little bit of low end that the OEM radio cannot deliver. Not going to rattle the windows, but that's a good thing. The sound is very similar to that if a OEM subwoofer in your car. I still need to tweak it a little. I will update my review for the long term. Definitely worth the money though. After using it for a couple days, the sub has a very stiff surround and needs some break in time. I installed some foam rubber under it to keep vibrations to a minimum. Gives a really good sub bass sound. If you want more low end, this does a great job with low end sound, but mid bass sound is a little distorted, but I'm attributing that to more break in time as the sound is getting better the more I play it. Now I have tweaked the settings and it is broken in, the sound is great. Can beat it for the price. Might need to buy another one for my Jeep. ... show more

As someone who has been passionate about stereos since the late '80s, I had high hopes for MB Quart. I was excited to introduce my son to the world of quality audio, and I thought MB Quart, with its longstanding reputation, would be a good fit. Unfortunately, my experience with their enclosed subwoofer has been nothing short of frustrating. I purchased two units, hoping that the first one was just a fluke, but both have left me extremely disappointed. The first subwoofer I bought wouldn't even turn on. Completely dead out of the box. After some back-and-forth with the company, I decided to give it another shot and purchased a second one. This one worked for about 30 days or so, but then, one day, it just stopped working. I had the amp turned on only halfway, so it wasn't even being pushed to its limits. No overloading, no heavy use—just a simple setup that should have lasted longer than a month. At this point, I regret not doing more thorough research before purchasing. Like many others, I relied on reviews and MB Quart's past reputation, but sometimes that doesn't guarantee a positive experience. In this case, it feels like I bought a product designed to be disposable, like a cheap razor. It works for a while, then it's done and ready for the trash. I wanted this to be a great experience, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend this subwoofer to anyone. The reliability just isn't there, and for the price, it's not worth the risk. Works well for the price you pay. I recently got rid of my 2 12s in my trunk and replaced it with this in my cabin in a convertible car. (bass going through convertible top while top down didn't sound as good) This obviously does not hit as hard as my 2 12in sony xplodes, but for $120 it sounds good and fills in the bass notes my sound system needed up to max volume. This was slightly too big to fit under the seat in my 1988 mustang, but it does fit close to perfectly into the rear passenger footwell. ... show more

Sounds incredible in the cab of my truck. I’m a huge music enthusiast so that’s high praise. It’s definitely gonna be best in small spaces but I assume your space is small if you’re in the market for a shallow mount. lol. Super easy to install (in a Colorado anyway). One thing, and I’m not certain if it’s a limitation of the sub or the lack of a good ground (I didn’t bother to check voltages and ohms bc it sounded great) but I have the bass and gain maxed out. No distortion at all but it leaves me wondering. One day I’ll get around to checking that ground. 10/10 would recommend though. ... show more

Install is just like a standard amp/speaker box, you need power, ground, remote, speaker inputs and outputs. I have a couple vehicles with solid sound systems in them, 10's and 12's in custom boxes sealed and ported so I am very accustomed to powerful bass. Wife has a 2020 Ranger CC and just wanted a little more bass and fullness to the sound so I thought I would try this before building a custom setup. I was very surprised at how much bass this little thing put out. The lower frequencies do not resonate because the small box and limited movement of the speaker just won't allow it, but over all this speaker thumps better than the factory powered sub in our 2020 expedition. If they can figure out how to keep it from going into protect mode this will be a great speaker. The only problem I had with it is that it would randomly go into protect mode on startup, turn off and wait and start vehicle again and you have a 50/50 chance it will work or go into protect mode again, if it comes on it will stay on for hours and sound great. ... show more

Quit after one month. Attempted to contact mb quart to no avail. Replaced with a powered 10 pioneer from best buy and am much happier. Very disappointed in mb quart Positive: sounded good for it's size. Cannot compete with a true enclosure but does add depth and a little bump in my single cab truck which is all I wanted. Remote adjustable knob was convenient. Do not buy do to poor reliability and no customer service. ... show more
