IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT THESE ARE LARGE, ROBUST, & HEALTHY, AMANO'S THESE GUYS ARE SHIPPING OUT!
Color: Amano
I admit it. I'm a shrimp killer. Keeping in mind that I bought all my shrimp (up until this purchase from this seller "Swimming Creatures") from very well known online shrimp purveyors in the freshwater shrimp business and I'm sure everyone knows their websites if you're "Into" shrimp. So far I've bought two batches of 10 Blue Dreams, a "Skittle" 10-pack of mixed colors, and when I decided I needed a hardier, tougher, bigger batch shrimp to tough it out in my tank, I bought 10 Amanos. I admit that I'm probably making a huge mistake because I do have a betta in the tank (12"x12"x12") although in all honesty out of ALL those shrimp I have never seen the betta ever go after one let alone kill one. I know, I know it doesn't mean it isn't happening but still....was I killing them with water parameters? Or the betta? Or both? The first batch of Amano shrimp I bought from one of the better known vendors were SMALL. A few died right away. (I DO drip acclimate for 3 hr minimums) Then a week later I topped off about an inch with distilled water that I'd heated to within 3 degrees of the tank and BA BOOM! Next morning 3 dead Amanos which I figured was the balance of that last order of shrimp. SOOOOOoooooo...here I was on Amazon and happened to come across this seller: "Swimming Creatures". I have to admit. I was sold on the photos. What beautiful Amanos! And the price was right! So I took a dive into the "Swimming Creatures" inventory of Amanos with the 10+2 deal.. Here's the bottom line: I have NEVER received a more Robust, Healthy, Active group of shrimp than this batch from "Swimming Creatures". And these Amanos were LARGE compared to the size of shrimps other vendors sell. BIGGEST shrimp I ever bought from anyone! I was sad, because I actually received 13 Amanos but three of the Amanos got caught in a wrinkle of the plastic bag that they were bagged in so I received 10 Healthy and Active Large Amanos and then the 3 caught in the packaging probably when they were bagged. One more observation. All of my previous shrimp purchases would immediately hide (probably from the betta) and I wouldn't see them again until they were a dead pink corpse on the bottom of the tank. THIS batch from "Swimming Creatures" are NOT hiding. They are out and about feeding. Maybe because they are older and larger shrimp than I normally receive from sellers, these Amanos are not threatened. I know that they can grow even larger than they already are and I'm hoping to grow them larger. So...there is my review. Does my outstanding experience guarantee that you will have an outstanding experience? No. We all know the investment adage, "Past performance does not guarantee future performance."....But I feel that there is a very good chance that it will with this seller, "Swimming Creatures". I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this seller! ... show more

I received 14 shrimp instead of 10. All of them are alive and appear active and healthy. They are a bit on the smaller side but from my experience they will grow fast and since they don’t reproduce in fresh water the younger you get them the longer you have them. They colored up nicely after a night in the tank. They were very well packaged and arrived very fast. I will buy from this seller again. ... show more

Great Buy
Color: Amano
There were more than 10 and they all arrived alive! It’s been several months to a year now and they are all still alive and have grown a lot! They are great little creatures, I was having algae problems in my tank that my cherrys weren’t cleaning and the Amanos cleaned it right up. Very hardy creatures and cute and funny to watch. They really have personality. ... show more

Good Buy!
Color: Amano
I'm very happy with this purchase. I received 12 live shrimp and followed the acclimation instructions to the letter. The shrimp are very tiny, 1/2 to 3/4 inch long, but they are very active. They immediately went to work on the driftwood. I don't know if all 12 are still alive as I only see about 3-5 at a time. Since they are clear and small, it is hard to see all of them. I like them so much, I ordered 20 Fire Red ones from the same company. I haven't received those yet. The only complaint I have is with FedEx. They left the package on my front porch in the blazing summer sun. I'm just glad I was home or they may have been cooked. ... show more

11 total was shipped, 2 DOA and rest are active. Did drip acclimation for 90 min and put them in my tank. My angel pick two for its mid day snack and I had to pull the rest out and shift to a breeder box . Will be shifting them to a 10g until they reach adult size.

I recently ordered Amano shrimp from Swimming Creatures, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. All of the shrimp arrived alive, active, and healthy. They acclimated well and immediately got to work grazing throughout the tank. Their coloration, activity level, and overall condition were excellent. I was honestly a little nervous ordering shrimp online, but the quality of the animals quickly put those concerns to rest. The shrimp arrived well packaged, active, and ready to go. I was surprised that they were smaller than I expected, but after doing more research, I realized they are juveniles with plenty of growing left to do. They have been fascinating to watch and have quickly become some of my favorite inhabitants in the aquarium. The packaging was secure, shipping was smooth, and every shrimp arrived in great shape. Based on this experience, I will definitely be ordering from Swimming Creatures again and look forward to adding more livestock to my aquariums in the future. Highly recommended! ... show more
