highly recommended
This grip works fine on a D850. the fit is good and the buttons are solid feeling. If you want to get 9fps, you need something like this ex. Wasabi Power Bundle for Nikon EN-EL18, with the BL-5 battery cover. FYI the Wasabi and I'm sure other battery grips are identical to this one, I ordered a Wasabi grip and compared the one I bought and it is identical just in a different box. It isn't as solid as my Nikon grips on other DSLR's I own because it is plastic but solid and the Nikons have metal bases inside them. But $70 vs $450 is a no brainer ... show more

High Quality Battery Grip.
Quality materials with grip material as good as my Nikon. Works perfectly with my D850.

These battery grips will burn out your cameras - do not buy them....
I am a semi-professional photographer, using Nikon D850s for five years. I purchased two of these grips to replace Nikon grips ($75 v $600) in March. I started having ERR codes but I thought it was issues in the (5-year old) D850's. While working a sports event, the code was happening all the time. Working with other photographers, we eliminated camera issues, lens issues, damaged or old SD or QXD cards etc. We replaced the AA batteries with NIKON batteries. BOOM - NO MORE ERR CODES! The source of the issue is apparently in the wiring of the off-brand grip. We tried it on other D850's - same issue. I purchased two in March, returned one, and that one did the same thing. Since my Asurion file shows only two grips were covered I am only getting two gift card rebates. And, yes I just dropped $$680 on replacement NIKON brand battery grips. I went HAPPYPOPO to give me a refund on the third. They do not have a contact email so I am sending my message here. ... show more

Great Third Party Grip
I don't normally buy non Nikon products for my D850, but this is an exception. Very well made and I've had no problem with it. (I bought two). And the price is fantastic. I paid almost $60 for this grip...Nikon wants $400 more. I do recommend using Nikon's EN-EL18a/b/c battery. Does not come with the BL-5 Battery Chamber Cover, needed for the EN-EL18 battery. ... show more

caution
needs perfecting to complete connections. Sometimes it just does not work. Camera says it is not compatible.

Almost as good as Nikon’s more expensive version
The fit could be a little better, although one would not know unless directly comparing to much more expensive Nikon version

Excelente pero no es para todos
Siempre me gustó este accesorio, le da equilibrio al equipo, y los controles adicionales y la batería extra son muy útiles, pero aumenta el peso del equipo, ocupa espacio en el transporte y se puede vivir sin él.
