I don't normally buy non Nikon products for my D850, but this is an exception. Very well made and I've had no problem with it. (I bought two). And the price is fantastic. I paid almost $60 for this grip...Nikon wants $400 more. I do recommend using Nikon's EN-EL18a/b/c battery. Does not come with the BL-5 Battery Chamber Cover, needed for the EN-EL18 battery.

This product is an "ok" substitute. It works (most of the time), but it feels pretty cheap. The build quality is not terrible, but not good either. It's very mediocre.

This grip works fine on a D850. the fit is good and the buttons are solid feeling. If you want to get 9fps, you need something like this ex. Wasabi Power Bundle for Nikon EN-EL18, with the BL-5 battery cover. FYI the Wasabi and I'm sure other battery grips are identical to this one, I ordered a Wasabi grip and compared the one I bought and it is identical just in a different box. It isn't as solid as my Nikon grips on other DSLR's I own because it is plastic but solid and the Nikons have metal bases inside them. But $70 vs $450 is a no brainer

It depletes the battery fast, might brick your camera,if used in the rain, as its not water resistant. If the battery falls below 1/2, it will cause the camera to stop working. You're better off carrying an extra battery on your person. It doesn't even raise the FPS (frames per second)on the camera. The glue on vinyl on the grip lost interest and stopped, thus the vinyl came off at the bottom handgrip. It sucks!
