This was an excellent option for transporting my Smoker. I purchased this to resolve having to create a make shift ramp to get my smoker into my truck bed. I drove 300 miles round trip with my smoker loaded onto the carrier. It worked flawlessly. The anti rattle did not seem like it worked with it tightened down. We just used this hitch for the first time on a 600 mile round trip this weekend. The trailer performed well and we loaded it up with an assortment of items that would not fit in our suv. It probably weighed about 125 pounds in all. I wouldn't push much more than that since hitting pothalls on highways is always a risk. If you are doing local roads, it may not be a problem. The reason I gave it 4 stars is as follows: 1. The ramp does not fold inward, making it a challenge for storage in the garage. I had to take up extra space by laying the ramp tilting upwards toward the ceiling. 2. Under this heat dome in NJ, the dual exhaust burned through the tarp and birdseed since this trailer is closer to the exhaust system versus our old trailer. On our trip home, I just made sure not to put something right up against the back facing the exhaust and no problem. The temperature registered 107 degrees! This probably would not happen in cooler weather. Overall, it was a great price is is wider than the last trailer and can hold handicapped items like a transport chair and rollator. ... show more

After a few hours of putting this together a couple of issues have come to my attention 1: The unit is to carry my electice wheelchair which weight appx 150 pounds and the unit bends and bottoms out i even added a extension. 2. I need a little rug to prevent the all terrain wheels to grab on the ramp or the wheels keep spinning and 3. the u joint that came with the unit did not even align with the holes which made this useless picture attached.     • Lacking of quality control

Lacking quality control. Delivered with damage....the base was dented in a way, that had to have been done at the factory, before being packaged up. The ramp has a riveted in place metal insert to add strength where the hinge bolts go. The problem is the insert was riveted in, with the hole 🕳 in the metal insert not lining up with the hole in the ramp frame, making it impossible to put the hinge bolt thru. I didn't have time to deal with a replacement, so I had to drill out the hole in the riveted in insert without elpngating the hole in the aluminum fram.. it was very frustrating. Don't recommend buy to to lack of quality control ... show more
