Great for stability during loading and unloading

Didn’t know I needed these but what a difference they make. Now when I’m pulling my 2000+ pound UTV on or off my trailer, no more “lift” at the tongue & hitch. I have these mounted near the rear of my trailer, underneath each side. When folded down from their stowed position (and then extended to touch the ground) they provide stability and solid footing which prevents the trailer from tilting upwards during loading and unloading. My little 17' Casita trailer came with the usual scissors jacks at the back bumper, but I found the trailer would rock whenever you moved around the front of the trailer (bathroom, dinette seat, closet, entry). I mounted these inexpensive jacks under the base of the tongue A-frame and the trailer is now rock steady! They are well made, reasonably light, and tuck away into the frame so they don't hang down. They are super simple to use - you push or pull the foot of the jack until the pin is free and you can rotate the jack downward. Then you release the lever just above the foot and the foot drops to the pavement. Lastly, for a tight fit, you then insert the rod into the hole above the lever and jack some tension into the leg to hold it in place. To release the jack, push down on the lever to release the tension and collapse the foot into the jack. Release the lever and pull/push the jack down to release the jack and tuck it up into the stowed position. Relax your hold and the spring will hold it in place. For the price, this is a fantastic solution for stabilizing small trailers! I highly recommend them! ... show more

Not bad. Got them for a utility trailer to lock the rear when loading without hooking to a truck. Maybe im doing something wrong but they dont just "lock" They seem to tighten and if I drive up slowly they seem to work fine, just dont slam the mower in or they drop a few inches. Im giving 4 stars for another reason though, as I could be doing something wrong locking them. 4 stars as arrived bent, and too many messages pointing other directions to get resolved so 4 stars is a blessing. ... show more

I installed these MaxxHaul 50970 Trailer Swing Down Stabilizer Jacks on my 5x10 open cargo trailer. Unfortunately, one of the jacks failed. I contacted MaxxHaul customer service via email, and they responded quickly with concern about the failure of the one jack. The failure was not the fault of the vendor but a manufactuing defect in the jack's release/locking lever. The lever would not hold the stabilizing jack in the desired position. The CSR immediately advise me that they would send a replacement jack. I received the jack and it functions properly. Excellent customer service from the CSR at MaxxHaul. ... show more

Great stabilizers for my 17' TT

These work very well so far. They could be a little longer, so I have to use a pad under them if I am off level just slightly. They do provide good side to side stabilization.
