  • Solid unit, survived being left out in the rain overnight
This is a good little hint for the price! Using knock off batteries and they work fine. I’ve used it about 3 total hours now and went through 2 of the supplied bands. I’m a Milwaukee guy, but had Dewalt batteries so gave it a try and glad I did. I like that it comes with a vacuum attachment. Accidentally left it out in the rain overnight and just used it for 30 mins after blowing it out, we’ll see how long it lasts. ... show more

  • Works great and extremely affordable.
Extremely impressed by this knockoff dewalt belt sander. Easy to use and very easy to replace sanding belt. The one it came with is quality. Didn't expect me to like the tool as much as I do.

  • Nice small belt sander for home projects.
This review is for the MaxMore Cordless Detail Band file Sander. I have several projects that I wanted a small powered belt sander to get into small areas, or spot sanding. I ordered this to fill that need. The belts are easy to load and change. The “tension lever” is how the belt is released and tightened. There are 6 speeds, with one being fairly slow. #6 speed is roughly equivalent to a mains-powered belt sander. MaxMore gives you three belts of 40, 80 & 120 grit to get started. I emphasise these are “starter” belts. The grit on the belts are easily removed. I would highly recommend purchasing some quality belts for this tool. With a 2Ah battery in the tool, it is well balanced, and easy to use. I did find that the belt bogged down more easily than I liked, but it was not that bad. Just be aware of the material being ground and the pressure used. One drawback to this tool is that the “nose” extends unobstructed only 3.5in/89mm until the belt adjustment device gets in the way of working inside small pipes or small, obstructed areas In open sanding, this is not an issue. There is one accessory piece that was not shown in the illustrations and was not discussed in the manual. It fits over the base of the belt mechanism and allows for a vacuum hose attachment. However, this has an O.D of 36mm/1 3/8in and does not fit “standard” American 1.5in vacuum hoses. Duct Tape to the rescue! Overall, this is a nice small belt sander for small homeowner projects. ... show more

  • Nice for the price
Seems to be nice. I’m really excited about this one. The price of this item is unbelievable. It works well with my DeWalt batteries. We’ll see how long it lasts. I’m buy no means to commercial work just weekend warrior in my garage.

  • Good quality detail belt sander
This is a well-made finger band sander. It comes well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. Everything inside is on the first picture - tool, instructions, extra belts of 3 different grit and a dust collection attachment (yellow arrow). Dust collection attachment is not mentioned anywhere in instructions nor pictured on the box. You have to guess where to attach it. The most logical place I could find (there are several) is on picture 3. There are grooves indicated by orange arrow where attachment's tabs seem to fit. Only a tool is inside the packaging, no battery nor battery charger. It is not written anywhere in the instructions, nor pictured on the box graphics what pattern battery is used with this tool. If you do not have an Amazon description handy, the only clue what battery to use is color of the tool. It is of course DeW as seen on picture 2 (circled). Operation of the tool is simple and straigh-forward - install battery, press on safety button from either side and squeeze trigger. Speed (6) adjustment is conveniently located so you can operate it with your thumb while tool is working. There is a walking adjustment on the left side of the bar to keep belts straight, especially at lower speeds. Tool motor housing is covered with non-slip pads and can be used as a handle for two-hand operation. Tool and belts work well as seen in picture 4. Just a few seconds produced a deep and smooth groove in my hardwood plank. This detail finger belt sander is a good addition to any shop, although instructions could use an update to spell out where to attach dust collector attachment and what pattern battery is used. ... show more

  • Perfect Cordless Sander for Tight Spaces and Detail Work!
As a hobbyist woodworker, I've been looking for a reliable cordless belt sander that can handle those hard-to-reach areas without sacrificing power. This MaxMore Cordless Band File Sander (tool only) exceeded my expectations! It's compatible with my existing DeWalt 20V MAX batteries, so I didn't have to buy extras, which is a huge plus for value. The variable speed control is fantastic – I can dial it down for delicate sanding on furniture edges or crank it up for quicker material removal on metal or wood. The 1/2" x 18" belt size is ideal for narrow spots, and the arm pivots smoothly for better access. It's lightweight yet feels sturdy, with minimal vibration, making long sessions comfortable. The dust collection port works well with my shop vac, keeping my workspace cleaner. I've used it on several projects, from refinishing cabinets to smoothing welds, and the results are professional-grade every time. Battery life is solid (though it depends on your battery), and at this price, it's a steal compared to big-name brands. If you're into DIY or pro work, this is a must-have addition to your toolkit. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Good for general use.
The media could not be loaded. I can’t think of a single complaint for something as cheap as this. It comes with several belts (all the same grit) and a shop vac hose connection to mitigate dust. It isn’t the quietest tool even as far as power tools go, and it isn’t the most aggressive. But for quick jobs or home use, it’s perfect. The safety is ambidextrous for left or right-hand use, and it hooks up to DeWalt batteries like a glove. I love these off-brand tools for basic use. I don’t have to buy an expensive one for occasional projects. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that the vacuum attachment could be more secure. But I won’t be using this for long enough periods of time to be worried about that. I’m impressed. Even for the low price it’s worth every penny. ... show more
