  • For me, it was a great buy
Color: Corded Tiller
I gave this a 5 star rating with the understanding that this is a small tiller. It's not something that you will want to till several acres of land. I had an area that had the grass removed but the dirt had not been disturbed for at least 30 years. I was amazed at how easy it was to till with this tiller. I then tilled an area that had grass and it worked just about as good there but I had to clean the grass from the tiller blades once. If you are looking for a tiller for small jobs, this is your machine. The tiller works much better if pulled rather than pushing it. When I pushed the tiller, it jumped all over the place. When I am backing up and tilling I have to be careful about where the electrical cord is located. I would suggest this tiller to friends and family. ... show more

  • What a beast of a tiller!
Color: Corded Tiller
Works very well and built tough. I used it on clay soil with a lot of rocks and roots. I appreciate the 12 amp motor. Tines appear to be extremely strong--nothing seems to bend them. I'm tilled up a new lawn area in a few hours, and that would have taken multiple days by hand. Read the instructions carefully, including the safety precautions. There is a good shield between the motor and the tines, but this sends a lot of debris into the air, so you definitely need good eye protection. Keeping the extension cord away from the moving tines was a challenge even though the power cable is led high up on the handle. The tiller bounces around quite a lot, so make sure to release the power trigger if the time get anywhere near the extension cord. Also, get a brightly colored extension cord that's easy to see. I ended up replacing my extension cord, and I was lucky not to get a bad shock. Also, make sure to disconnect the extension cord if you need to clear away twisted vines and roots like I did quite a lot. The combination of safety button and power trigger looks good to me, but I don't want to find out how a freak accident could nonetheless power on the tiller while i have my fingers in the tines. I'm not a safety expert, and this is not a comprehensive list of precautions, I'm just pointing out how some of the safety precautions appear particularly important from my limited experience with the device. Read all the precautions in the manual! The is my first electric tiller, so I can't really compare it to others. I think the safety concerns are common to any corded electric tiller. There weren't that many in this price range with a 12 amp motor, which was my reason for picking this model. I don't know how a 10.5 amp motor would have worked in my soil, but I had no power issues with this model's 12 amp. ... show more

  • Spare/ replacement battery
Color: Cordless Tiller
I have used this for a couple weeks now and it works well. Great for already broken soil and will work for new ground. Wouldn’t want to break a lot of new ground with it. Comparable to my mantis. Battery lasts a couple hours, but I can’t find a replacement or spare battery.

  • A true workhorse for sure
Color: Corded Tiller
I don’t know what else I can say that other people haven’t. This thing is just a workhorse! It cut through 1 inch root pretty easily and ejected it so I could pick it up. I’m really really impressed. If I had to make one critique, it would be that the back wheels are kind of flimsy. However, for the price, wheels are just fine. I wouldn’t of wanted to pay an extra $30 for better wheels if I could afford two, I would buy another one of these for when this breaks down and before the Trump tariffs take affect. ... show more

  • Powerful little tiller that is great for small jobs.
Color: Corded Tiller
My wife wanted to be able to use this and I wanted something not too wide to fit into some tight spots and not too heavy for us to handle. This fit the bill perfectly! It is very powerful for its size and easy to use. As others have noted this really works best when pulling it backwards if you want to till down to a decent depth. I would definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Great help.
Color: Corded Tiller
This was what I needed: tilling a short and narrow sandy/clayish area next to the house wall. It was easy to assemble and it is not very heavy, yet heavy enough so as not to jump all over the place; easy to handle even for an elderly person like me (86 yrs. femaie). It is power operated so one needs to make sure that the extension cord hangs over one's shoulder to keep it away from the blades. I am very impressed by this little jewel that saved me pain from using a hand tool to churn the ground before planting. ... show more

  • Small, lightweight and Powerful.
Color: Corded Tiller
I wanted a small tiller for my raised beds and didn’t want any more hard-to-start gas engines, or batteries that go bad and cost a fortune to replace. I was a little sceptical as to whether this would have the power to really work the soil, but my fears were put to rest the second I pulled the trigger on this. Wow! It’s plenty powerful and isn’t bashful about digging deep. Excellent value for the money. I highly recommend this tiller. ... show more

  • Pass
Color: Corded Tiller
I was expecting a better experience using this smaller tiller for the wife's outdoor garden. It's pretty much a bucking bronco on harder soil, it doesnt have front or rear guard flaps for stone flinging control. Could use a variable speed control and a back stabilizer bar. Since I bought it too far out before needing it the return window closed. After using or trying to, I just went to hand tools to till instead of this. I've owned rototillers with gardening many times and all I would consider hazardous, this tiller more so. ... show more
