I’m very impressed with this wood chipper. It was easy to assemble and worked right out of the box. A very useful tool for occasional backyard tree prunings. I had a pile of dry crepe myrtle branches, and it handled the job wonderfully. It handles 1.75" branches, but when branches fork and one or both are over 0.5", then they need to be split. Otherwise, feed the large end into the machine and all the spreading branches go through it. I stopped and opened up the machine to clear it twice. If the bin under the machine gets too full, it will create a backup of chips inside the machine, so watch how full the bin gets. Great product for occasional work for the price. Definitely use hearing and eye protection.

This works pretty well. It jams up easily with thicker branches and you need shut it off quickly when that happens, but cheaper wood chipper ideal for yard work. The collection tote is a great way to easily move the chips after, but it will fill up quickly if you are running a lot of branches. It is very loud. Moves around nicely very portable.

Using this to mulch (mostly) dried leaves. If you take your time and have the patience to remove sticks and twigs, this does the job well. The best ratio I am getting is about 4 to 1. I have used this for about 5 hours of mulching over the last 2 weeks.
