    • Nothing Locks in Place
I got my M9 less than a year ago. It was no more difficult to assemble than any other office chair, but I took my time and made sure everything was just right and secure, since I dropped a good chunk of change on this thing. I like that the seat cushion has no seams. It is thickly padded, and I never felt as if my posterior was squishing clear through to the hard base beneath, as can be the case on chairs with lesser padding. (I am 5’10” and 280 lbs.). That being said, it is firm… not necessarily comfortable. You CAN sit for marathon sessions at the computer without excessive back/bottom pain or weariness. But it’s not a relaxing cloud you can easily fall asleep in either. I also love the rubber wheels as opposed to the hard plastic of other chairs. Much quieter rolling around the floor. The chair’s downfall is that it aspires to be ultra flexible. It adjusts every which way to fit every body. But NONE OF THEM LOCK INTO POSITION! Once you get it feeling comfortable, all it takes is shifting your body a little and - POW! - the seat changes of its own accord. I was CONSTANTLY moving the backrest upwards, as I like it high. But if you click past the third height position, if goes back down to the bottom position. Shifting in my seat, or getting up from my seat kept sliding the backrest beyond the maximum position, and it would drop all the way down again. And worse still are the armrests. They adjust in all the ways of a standard gaming chair, but for most of the positioning all it requires is for you to push them the way you want them to go. The in/out position rapidly became loose (un-tightenable) and were constantly flopping around. The swivel also was too easy, and I constantly fiddled with that. Suffice it to say, my arm support was not reliable. And FORGET putting any weight on them to support yourself as you stand up. Once you find the most comfortable positions for yourself, you need to be able to LOCK EVERYTHING IN PLACE. This chair is more like a living entity, constantly wiggling underneath you. Apart from the chair itself, I also remember going through hoops to get the thing delivered. As I recall, I had to have it delivered to my place of business so that someone could physically sign for it - no normal Amazon leave-it-at-my-door. Not a fault of the chair, but something you should be aware of to expect if you decide to order this anyway. Understandable as a precaution in the vendor’s eyes, since this is an expensive item to be porch-pirated. But if you need to have it delivered to a different address than usual in order to supply a signature, it isn’t something that’s necessarily easy to transport home in the standard car. ... show more

Just got my M9 in black/black and am in love. I upgraded my home office setup from a generic Staples chair and felt the difference right away. The build didn't take too long, maybe 15-20 minutes but I'm on the slow side. A++ would recommend.
