These barstools are absolutely amazing. I searched for a long time to find ones that wouldn't stain and that are wipeable with little kids. These have been perfect. They are super sturdy and not flimsy at all. And my kids actually like sitting on these compared to the hard wood ones we had before. I find myself sitting in them so much more because of how comfortable they are. The customer service is impeccable. We ordered 4 and one was damaged from the shipping. We contacted Maven Lane way beyond the return window and they just sent us a new one, no questions asked. I will only buy these barstools in the future.

With a little elbow grease these can be solid stools. Are they high dollar custom chairs?, no, but surprisingly nice. Built in Vietnam per tag, so maybe better quality. Bought good wood glue too at same time. Spent a little time adding glue to cross brackets just in case. They were returns and you could till by screws given to connect footrests to legs. Screws would barely grab on. Used wider, slightly longer ones I had and added bought wood glue to connect footrests. Then laid stool down and while pushing on opposite leg straight above footrest, I screwed in screw tight while pushing down. Had to wipe excess glue off but 24hr late it was solid. Some wobble on one. Sanded plastic foot protectors before putting felt pad on that are given. Helped even it out more. Overall, 8.5-9 out 10. Firm but comfortable and solid with extra elbow grease.

They only put my name on one of three boxes, had to work with them and fetch facility and ups to track the two that were lost. Once found I was putting together and a couple of the legs were mislabeled, figured them out though. The last stool I was putting together as well had a bump where I was supposed to slide a screw in, so I could not fully tighten one of the pieces. Overall sturdy and affordable but assembly and shipping were not so good.
