Worked well on flat surfaces but struggled up hills for my 3yo but she is rather big for her age. This didn't stop her from dragging it all over the house and outside. It is not fast by any means and gets all it's power from one back wheel, the foot pedal and direction selector was easy for her to figure out and operate.
