  • Binoculars in a league of their own.
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 10x42
In a word; amazing! I’ve always struggled with binoculars. That’s probably due to several reasons, the first being quality. I’ve had my Tasco 16x40’s for 20+ years. The jump from those to Mavin’s B1.2 is like going from a VW to a Lamborghini. I wish I invested in a pair of Mavin’s years ago because from the design, ease of use and the absolutely stunning optics, the B1.2 binoculars have literally opened up a new world of visual clarity and beauty that’s second to none. ... show more

  • Brilliant!
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 10x42
Excellent build quality, edge to edge sharpness, above average field of view. Highly recommend as top in class for value. 95% as good as an alpha glass binocular like Swarovski at 30% of the price. I got this as a gift for a family member who loves to go birdwatching but can be hard on her equipment and loses things. This is a great compromise. ... show more

  • Top Quality!
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 10x42
These replaced my 20 year old Nikon Monarchs, what I really liked. The glass and clarity quality of these Mavens are superior. These do weight a little more but are worth the added weight. I hunted this past year with them with no issues, other than the same one some others have had with the eyecup staying in place. ... show more

  • Excellent bins!
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 10x42
High quality optics and absolutely excellent build quality. Great customer service in trying to get these to work for me. I believe these are an excellent value and come with a bulletproof warranty. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that they were a good fit for my needs so begrudgingly returned them. Based on my experience, however, I wouldn't hesitate to try other products from Maven - and probably will at some point in the future! ... show more

  • Sweet surprise
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 8x42
I consider myself something of a binoculars snob having cherished my Zeiss 7x42 Dialyts for many years. So I was nervous buying my spouse an expensive pair from a manufacturer I'd never heard of. These bins live up to the reviews and the price. These are 8x and my Zeisses are 7x so I expected some benefit, but they are as good as my Zeisses in low light conditions. I never expected that. The image is clear and bright. I was looking at a Nuttall's on my feeder. No big deal, but that black just popped. My spouse loves the fast focus and that they can focus very close. Without detailing everything I like about them, I'll just say this gift earned me big brownie points. ... show more

  • I use binoculars every day
Color: Black / Grey Size: 10x42
Exceptional performance for the price. Good eye relief with glasses, very compact design, kind of a cross between Nikon and Kowa in terms of ergonomics. I would say just above the Vortex Razor HD in terms of contrast and apparent sharpness. I don’t know anything else in this price range that is this good. You would have to start looking at Zeiss and Leica. This was shipped from Maven, packaging and delivery were excellent. If anything happened to this pair, I would not hesitate to buy another pair. ... show more

  • Maven B1 series is a very fine product.
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 10x42
This time I ordered the 10x42 B1.2 from Amazon. Last Maven purchase I went directly to Maven for a larger pair but out of the B1 line-up. These 10x42's are just amazing. If you want a good pair with all the features like that of the much higher priced optics, you can't beat these. Many like Vortex, & like their performance too, one should take a look at Mavens and do a comparison. I know everybody's eyes are different, but for me I'm sold on Maven. I like Japanese made optics/glass, 99% of all my camera lenses are made in Japan. Same as these B1 series line. Hopefully it doesn't change as I will be looking for a new scope in the near future. ... show more

  • Partway between Vortex and Swarovski.
Color: Grey / Orange Size: 8x42
The optics are very clear, the focus knob is buttery smooth, and they are noticeably lighter than my Vortex Viper Hd 8x42. The diopter adjustment isn’t lockable, but is stiff enough to not change unexpectedly. My only real complaint is that the click stops for the eye relief are a bit weak. If Maven fixed this they would be unstoppable. Some reviewers call out the shallow depth of field, but I didn’t notice this at all. Perhaps because the focus knob is so smooth it’s easy for me to get the focus just right. ... show more
