I have purchased at least 5 different canopies in the past few years for outdoor sports and for my back porch. I've seen several varieties, but so far the MasterCanopy is the very best value for the money that I've found. First, the canopy cover construction is top notch. The cover is among the thickest and sturdiest I've seen. Many other canopies have small pinholes in them - this on is rock solid with a canvas-type outer layer and insulated silver inner layer. Frame construction is pretty standard - it will do the job but will likely collapse in a heavy wind or if mishandled (like, accidentally sitting on it or similar). Setup and takedown is an absolute breeze and is by far the easiest I've seen. The paddle-type locks for legs and canopy lock are top-notch and are simple to use. Many previous canopy levers required a weightlifter's strength to press, or worse, didn't exist at all. Some designs don't use a design but instead use a tiny button which is annoying and difficult to press. The MasterCanopy's takedown levers almost feel as if they are greased, and the entire assembly easily collapses with minimal effort. I did subtract one star for sturdiness due to the flimsy Velcro straps that hold the canopy to the frame, but those are easily replaced if they break. Price is a bit on the higher side, but since I set up and take down this canopy weekly, the price is well worth it for the ease of assembly. Recommended. ... show more

We used the canopy for only two weeks and it snapped. I was hoping that paying an extra $100 more than your average pop up canopy would mean a higher quality. But, one of the metal rods snapped (see pic). The canopy has a nicer looking fabric. It looks like there is reflective material to deflect the sun light. Just wish the support was stronger and lasted at least a few months. ... show more

The fabric on the top looks durable to me. The sand bags are very useful, it helps the tent’s stability even on the concrete group. No worry’s in the wind and rain. ... show more

Ok, so surprisingly, western PA has had over a week straight of heat and SUNNY DAYS. Omg. That NEVER happens. So because everything is also still closed and its over 90 degrees, I decided to snag the last, ridiculously expensive blow up pool since you can't find ANYTHING else at the stores. Now me and my youngest sons are fair hair and pale compared to my darker husband and oldest 3. Even with SPF 60, me and the little ones still burn. Walmart is pretty much sold out of everything, including canopies, so on to Amazon. This was an excellent choice!! It wasn't like the cheap-o ones that are cpvc that you actually have to build (I still have one of those I've put up a grand total of ONE time because it's a pain). This came folded down in a very sturdy bag and under right out. I would say it would be possible to do alone, but me and the hubs each took a corner and easy peasy open. Then we stretched out the cover over the top and used the velcro strips. Which, let me say, the velcro is strong and large enough strips to actually get a decent grip and hold up to a moderate breeze. They provide stakes and bags for sand and the stakes were actually decent sized. I love the fact the height is adjustable too. We kept it on the lower side for hanging out with the pool, but will pop it up higher for when we have a table underneath. You know, when a party is actually allowed to happen. The whole unit compressed back down easily too and fit right back into the bag. The whole canopy was just so slick and easy compared to the ancient ones we've used before that I'm boggled I haven't bought one before. ... show more

I bought this for craft shows and book signings. It rolls, which is great because it is heavy. It is very easy to take down- my 12-year-old daughter and I can do it in less than 5 minutes. We can put it up alone also, except the very last part of raising the roof part until it quicks. A strong man has to help with that because it is very, very hard to push up. I am hoping that will get easier. I am a medium-sized woman. If you are stronger than me, no problem. Once you open it, you will need a separate bag for the top, because it will not fit back into the bag. However, for ease of use, this is no biggie to me. We have not tested it in rain yet, but our first show was very windy and it held much better than the others around us, even without sandbags. I like it and I am glad I bought it. ... show more

It gets hotter, ordering this canopy for my kids water fun to stay home at my backyard. 10* 10 is pretty good size to have shades for my kids’ little swimming pool . It comes with a wheeled pack bag to easily move on the flat ground, very portable. The canopy in the bag which just small size can store in anywhere of my house. Good point is very easy to set up. Only my husband and I costed few minutes without any tools to get job done. Lol! We put the fabric over the frame, and two sides extend the legs . That’s how easy ! After that my husband just adjusted the heights. The tan color which perfect for my house and kids’ swimming pool color. I didn’t put any sand bags or weight because of kids swimming pool. This no wind or rain here now, so I can’t tell its waterproof or windproof . Still testing and will share the experience later for those two features. So far I am ok for this canopy. ... show more

So obviously much easier to assemble with two people. Aside from that, this canopy is amazing! Thanks to Covid-19 my career as a massage therapist was practically wiped out! But I started my own outdoor mobile massage business, and even doing some in my own yard. Last night I had my first client and it started raining pretty good! It was an enchanting experience in there to say the least! And even when at 2am we had a Hawaiian down pour, everything was still pretty dry. By morning there was some water but nothing drenched or soaked. This morning I had a massage and the solar fabric with the top vents helped with the hot sun.
