They are good, durable running shoes that provide just the right level of sole support I need. These Wave Inspire 21 running shoes are the third pair of shoes I’ve ordered from Mizuno. (If Mizuno running shoes were good enough for Carl Lewis, they’re good enough for me! 😉) Although my knees limit my running to mostly walking these days, I still prefer the support and cushioning of a good running shoe. And these Wave Inspire 21’s are no exception. First of all, they fit true to size. The toe box is generous enough that you don’t need to order a ‘Wide’ version (as I do with many Nike models). And as with any top-of-the-line running shoe, they feel comfortable right out of the box; no break-in period needed. The upper is a nylon mesh that ‘breathes’ well while the sole is tough, durable carbon rubber with the unique “Wave” contour design. I don’t know what the engineering behind that design is but I do know it results in great stable support and cushioning, even on asphalt or concrete. (The community fitness trail I use most often is poured concrete.) Overall, the Mizuno Wave Inspire 21 shoes are excellent for running, walking or just everyday wear and are comparable in price to any of the other top brands. I recommend these shoes with a 5 STARS rating.

I had never heard of the "Mizuno" brand before, but after brief online research, I learned that the company has been in business for over 100 years. Intrigued, I decided to try them out. I'm by no means athletic. I do not run marathons or anything, but occasionally I do try to run around the neighborhood to excercise (and, I probably should do that more often). If I was more into athletics, I may have heard of this brand before. The Mizuno Wave Inspire shoes are very comfortable with excellent arch support. The width of the shoe is a bit on the slimmer side, but the length is true-to-size. I do not normally buy wide width shoes. If you do, these may be too tight for you. I found them snug, but not uncomfortable. My foot is definitely not sliding around inside. The insole is removeable. The base of the shoe is curved for arch support so any insole you put in will have additional curvature because of the shape of the footbed within the shoe. Very high quality shoes! I would certainly buy more Mizuno brand shoes in the future.

This shoe has significant investment in pavement running. Extremely tough light weight textile top is reminiscent of a sock. The only padding and support are around the ankle where there is structure and padding. Even the laces are light weight but fully functional. The remaining weight of the shoe is in the soles. I found them to be well padded for my 180 lbs. like running on a cloud. The sole also has some significant contours and some kind of a frame. All this effort has succeeded in making a great hard surface running shoe that is protective of the feet and legs. They cut themselves short in the cautions where they suggest the shoe is for running and not for other activities. False, these shoes may not be good for digging or kicking or motorcycling but they are great for walking and shopping (if you don't get stepped on). They are hand wash only no heated dry and the best and highest value running around shoes I have had. The fit matched my US 10 feet well.

A person can spend weeks researching running shoes and a wide variety of price ranges and styles For me it always comes back to brand and reputation I like the Mizuno brand and the way they fit I can't say that they are extremely cheap, but they're not hundreds of dollars either You can tell when you take them out-of-the-box how super light they are They go on easy and are really comfortable Lightweight and breathe well The sole is padded and durable I can feel how well they're cushioned each time my foot lands I thought maybe the heel pad was not wide enough, but it seems to be just right The truth will be told in how long they last If I get six months out of these I will be happy

Very happy with this purchase. I generally buy another brand name shoe for my everyday walking shoe, but thought I would step out of me usual. I need a shoe with good support as I have Plantar Fasciitis. These were comfortable the moment I put them on. I am usually expecting a few day to break in a shoe. These felt like they where shoes I have been wearing for a while within the first 30 min. I do a high paced walk on a treadmill daily and these are more comfortable than my running shoes. They are light weight and feel great. I like the styling and color. They are more than I usually spend on a pair of shoes, but if you spend a great deal of time on your feet, I am now seeing it's worth the investment. I don't regret trying something new. I will look at these again when I wear through them.
