These are my favorite jeans—comfortable, well-fitting, and consistently high quality. The Lucky Brand 221 Original Straight-Leg style is exactly what I like, but they’re getting harder to find, which is a bit frustrating. Still, whenever I can get them, they never disappoint.

The 221 Original Straight-Leg is my go-to for jeans. I'm not a huge fan of stretchy material and these have minimal stretch but still offer plenty of room and a level of comfort that most jeans don't have. They are also a great color and for the money, this is a great purchase.

These jeans are comfortable, high quality, and they look great. After a few months of use and washing they still look new, so they seem to be durable. I grew up with Lucky Brand being a brand of quality jeans, and I am glad that is still the case. I gave 4 starts because they were noticeably longer than any pants I own, and inseam to inseam comparison confirms it had significant excess (~1"). I am an odd length size, so I recommend getting a size shorter if you are also an odd number length. However, it was worth it to me to get them adjusted, for a good pair of jeans that will last years. ... show more

Lo, and behold! A few years ago my parents gifted to me a pair of jeans that became my most favorite. The fabric was soft, the wash was dark, and it had a very comfortable mid-rise. But, after much fluctuation in weight, I began approaching a healthier number. Those jeans became quite loose. Plus, it was annoying having to find alternatives because surely one cannot wear the same pair of jeans constantly. These jeans were Jo’s Jeans, of The Rebel style. Imagine my horror when searches showed it was no longer actively manufactured. Indeed, Jo’s Jeans had ceased making the fit all together. Oh, the wailing and gnashing of teeth that ensued! The sorrow and despondency that resulted! Finally, I decided to find an alternative. Finding an alternative with Jo’s Jeans was turning out to be an expensive proposition. Perhaps, I thought to myself, I ought to try something more mainstream to determine what fit and cut would suit me. Choosing one pair from the manifold options seemed quite daunting. I resolved to purchase a pair from a well-known brand: Lucky Jeans. The prices were quite reasonable. I placed the order and they arrived forthwith. I chanced upon needing them a few days ago. I was apprehensive about wearing them but realized there was no reason to be worried. The fit was perfect; the cut was perfect; the size was perfect; the weight was perfect; the wash was perfect. Plus, not being relaxed fit actually flattered my physique. The jeans were most comfortable. Imagining getting a better pair of jeans is difficult to imagine. Lucky isn’t the most elite brand and that’s ok. For the price point the jeans are comfortable, the material ages well with proper care. And I love the fit for my body type specifically. I keep coming back because I can order the exact same measurements and have the exact same fit. Nice looking jeans, but not made for shorter (5’9”) men . The back pockets hung kinda low, and even though my husband doesn’t have a flat butt, he looked like his butt was missing, and his waist was attached to legs. I returned them.
