What a great little compressor! I have had it a few days, I have used it 4 or 5 times. This little thing met all my expectations and then some. I bought it because of the low noise factor and it sure is quiet. When I'm running the fan in my spray booth I don't even know when it kicks on. It's well built, solid, easy to use right out of the box/adjust etc. The air flow is consistent and the tank is a nice factor when I'm not using my hub. The guarantee is assuring, but from what I've experienced so far, I won't need it.

Difficult for me to understand the negative reviews over this compressor setup. My experience has been nothing but positive. I am a scale model builder and this compressor was purchased for the painting of models. I purchased it to replace my aging but still working Badger tankless compressor. First, the compressor setup is of VERY good quality and comes fully assembled ready to use right out of the box. The anodized blue finish on the compressor and black on the air tank was flawless. All assembly points and possible air leak points were tightly sealed. The compressor rapidly filled the tank and MOST impressive was that even at 40lb PSI the compressor could keep up without a drop in pressure even after the tank was depleted. (I never use over 40 lbs. when painting.) At lower pressures around 30 PSI the compressor rapidly refilled the tank and shut off indicating that it was easily keeping up with the air loss in the tank. The pressure regulator comes fitted with the water separator all tightly sealed with a push button drain valve on the bottom making emptying of catch bottle simple and easy. As far as noise, it was a bit more quiet than my old Badger. It gets a bit louder when the tank is at nearly full pressure (which most compressors tend to do) but still quiet enough to not be in the least bit obtrusive. I don't think I could give ay compressor a 5 star rating unless I could barely hear it run or it came in a sound proof enclosure. I WOULD NOT recommend this compressor for a beginner. A beginner would not need this type of compressor to learn how to air brush. Start with air cans and move up. Instructions are minimal maybe with the idea that the purchaser has experience with this type of compressor. Personally, I barely looked at them because I didn't need them. But read them for the purpose of this review. I noticed in some reviews where people said the air pressure adjustment didn't work. Maybe because they didn't know that the adjustment knob needs to be unlocked first by pulling it up. THIS IS clearly indicated in the instruction manual. (which is essentially only 4 pages) IMPORTANT!: This compressor does come with a short 6 ft. hose but it is designed for MASTER airbrushes ONLY. YOU MUST BUY HOSE ADAPTERS FOR OTHER BRANDS OF AIR BRUSHES! I use Paasche and Badger and needed to buy adapters for both. (Available here on Amazon) I do not own an Iwata (yet) so no idea about those. To summarize, IMO this is a fine air brush compressor and I find the price to be quite reasonable. I have seen similar compressors priced at around $300 and bought this after some minor research and deciding it was worth taking a shot. To say the least, I am extremely pleased with this purchase and hopefully look forward to many years of use.

I got this for my airbrush and was surprised how quiet it is compared to the other small air compressor I used to use. This thing moves enough air and doesn’t hurt your ears. It also doesn’t take up a lot of space.

I do not have my airbrush yet, so I could not fully test it. I did turn it on to verify the noise level and it is very quiet. If you had it on the floor next to where you were painting, you probably wouldn't even notice it after a while. I like the design. It is small and compact. The one issue I had is that the unit came with cracked power switch housing. On this unit it is probably just a cosmetic issue, but if you buy something new, you expect it to look new. There was no damage to the shipping box or the packaging box so it would appear that it was broken in manufacturing. I have emailed the vendor for a replacement part. I will update this review once I hear from them. Had it not been for the cracked housing, I would have given it 5 stars. Update - Later the same day this was written. I received a response from the seller. This was the next business day after my email to them. They could not replace the part, but offered two options to resolve the problem. I chose to return the compressor and order another of the same. Very impressed with their service and so I changed the rating from 4 to 5 stars.

As yet I don't know much about the Master Airbrush Model TC-828, other than is is not very noisy, as I have only been able to turn it on and squeeze the hose to make it fill and then turn back on. The reason for this is the hose that came with the compressor fits the compressor but the other end of the hose is too big for any of the airbrushes I have found which are the Paasche Talon, Neo for Iwata, Thayer & Chandler T89 Omni 4000 Airbrush and a cheap Chinese knock off. To me this is very unsatisfactory. I have gone to some hardware stores and have not found any that had adapters that would work as the threads are not standard for the USA. I think they are 1/4 inch British Standard Pipe (BSP threads. I tried 1/4 inch National Pipe Threads (NPT) and they do not work. They will start but don't line up well enough to seal. There is no indication in the description of needing to buy an adapter. TCP Global Corp is the selling company and it seems they sale the adapters but the shipping cost more than the adapters. I will update this review when I find a way to use the compressor and or have more to say. Bottom line if you buy this compressor make sure you buy an airbrush hose. Here's an update and it is why I dropped the rating down to 1 star... I sent a message to TCP Global via Amazon and here is my message... To Whom it may concern: I have written a review giving the Master Airbrush Model TC-828 a rating of 2 stars and consider it defective even though it appears to work. I say it is defective because the connector on the hose will connect to the compressor but will not fit any airbrush. There are no adapters available in my area. I do not feel it is proper for you to sale an item made for airbrushes that will not be able to connect to them. Your description does not say anything about needing adapters or what kind of fittings the hose has. I have since learned that you sale an adapter set, but I don't believe you should sell the compressor and then expect your customer to later buy an adapter they don't even know they need at the time of purchase. Here is the response... Hello, The manufacturers that sell airbrushes that'll hookup directly to our airbrush air hose are the following: Master, Devilbiss, Iwata and Harder & Steenbeck. The manufactures that make airbrushes with smaller fittings that don't hookup directly to our airbrush hose are Badger, Paasche, Thayer & Chandler, Testors and Aztek. Hello, Were not just offering a free air hose for no reason because there are airbrushes that will hookup to it. The brand of compressor we're advertising is a Master, and with the being stated on the listing, the free air hose supplied will fit a Master brand airbrush. However, as we previously stated it will also fit an Iwata, Devilbiss and Harder & Steenbeck airbrush because the fittings on the ends of those airbrushes are the same as the supplied hose. Hi, I hate to be the one to tell you this but the hose you sent me will not connect the compressor to an Iwata or a Master airbrush. It will connect to either the compressor or an Master/Iwata airbrush but not both as the ends are different. The hose has one connector that is 1/8 which will fit the compressor or the Master/Iwata airbrush. The other end of the hose will not fit the compressor or the Master or the Iwata airbrush as it is too large to fit either. The hose has one connector that looks like a 1/4 which is way too big to fit either the compressor or an airbrush the other end looks like a 1/8 and will fit either the compressor or an Master/Iwata airbrush. I want to connect a Neo for Iwata which is the same as an Iwata and a Chinese no brand name airbrush that is a copy of an Iwata. The problems with adapters is they leak unless you seal them with something which I don't have. The best answer would be a hose that has the 1/8 connector on both ends. That is the kind of hose that should be provided with the compressor. So far a dissatisfied customer Don Coplin Their reply.... Hello, We sincerely apologize, but the hose we supply with the compressor is the wrong version. We depict the correct hose, but our parts breakdown has the wrong type of hose bundled with the compressor. It should actually be a 1/8"-1/8" hose, not a 1/8"-1/4" hose. We have corrected the part number in our system and we have also updated the listing. Would you like for us to send you the correct hose? Thank you for bring this issue to our attention. When I get it I will once again update this review and maybe then I can add some more pertinent information about the compressor it's self and maybe change their rating. Time for another update... I got the new hose and tried the compressor. It works quite well but the adjustment for the air regulator is not as accurate as I would like but I can live with it. Just wish the gauge was marked so it was easier to read and showed one mark for each psi. I have updated the rating to only 4 stars because the problem was fixed even though it should not have happen in the first place.
