  • Solid Upgrade From My Old Chair - Comfortable and Well Built
I bought this chair to replace one that was over 10 years old and had finally broken one too many times. Assembly was surprisingly easy. I actually had someone else put it together for me who isn’t very tool-savvy, and they were able to get it fully assembled in about 30 minutes. The instructions were clear, the screws fit perfectly, and everything felt well thought out. There was almost no mess - the only bit of grease I noticed was on the headrest post, which was easy to deal with. All of the parts feel sturdy and solid. The base, wheels, seat, back, and cylinder all went together smoothly. I’m sitting in the chair right now as I write this, and it’s been very comfortable to use. The armrests adjust up and down nicely, and the height adjustment works exactly as you’d expect. The lumbar support is noticeable and supportive, and the headrest is a nice bonus. I don’t personally use the reclining feature much, but it’s there if you want it - you just pull out the lever and it reclines back. One thing to be aware of is that the chair has a larger base and a smaller cylinder, so if you were planning to swap in your own base or wheels, it might be a little tricky. It comes with standard casters, which work fine, though I prefer rollerblade-style casters in my home office. Overall, this feels like a good-quality chair. It’s comfortable, supportive, and solid with no wobbling or strange noises. It arrived well packaged, everything was clearly labeled, and I honestly don’t have any real complaints. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a sturdy, comfortable office chair at this price point. ... show more

  • Sturdy, Comfortable, Very Customizable
I’m really happy with this chair! It feels sturdy, is ergonomically designed, and the breathable mesh nicely conforms to pressure. The only thing I didn’t love was the basic plastic casters, but I easily swapped them out for my rubber rollerblade wheels (~$35 for a 5-pack, same Marsail brand). This chair offers a handful of options for customizations. The headrest not only can be TILTED at an angle but also can be moved UP and DOWN - just grip the headrest with both hands and gently shift its position. The armrest height can also be moved UP and DOWN, but it cannot be folded up and away, so bear in mind those of you who are squirmy and like to shift positions sitting crosslegged and sideways. By the way, these armrests aren’t just hard cheap plastic that chafe your elbows, they’re actually firmly padded! The back lumbar support cushion can also move UP and DOWN to accommodate different spines. However, the recline function falls short. Personally, I’d like to make reclining easier by turning the knob underneath, as instructed, to reduce the tension of the reclining mechanism. But the knob is stuck tight and can’t be twisted. Might be because some screws were over tightened during installation, who knows. As for now, I would have to put quite a bit of force falling backwards to get it to even recline, which doesn’t feel natural. ... show more

  • Very good chair at this price point
I spend a lot of time at my computer. Most of my work week is online, and I’m also a PC gamer. If I had to guess my bottom is planted to the chair 8 to 15 hours five to six days per week. With that much seat time a good chair is a necessity. This weekend I replaced my normal chair with Marsail’s ergonomic office/gaming chair. Base: It has a nice sturdy base and comes with typical plastic wheels. Do yourself a favor and immediately order a set of rubber wheels. They are the single best upgrade you can make to any office chair. Seat: The seat has plenty of padding and I find it comfortable. At 170 pounds I sink into it, but I don’t hit bottom. Backrest: Also comfortable and reclines to approximately 45*. It can only be locked at 0* (straight up). Arm Rests: They adjust 3” up/down and have minimal padding. I will likely remove them completely. Lumbar Support: Lumbar support is limited. I don’t need it, and I find it acceptable when at its lowest setting. Neck Support: This is the worst part of the chair. It pivots at its attachment point, but it cannot be moved up or down. I’m 5’9” and the bottom of the support hits my shoulders. For it to act as a neck support I have to slouch down. Like the arm rests, I’ll likely remove the neck support. It cannot complete with premium office/gaming chairs, but at $130 it shouldn’t be asked to compete with chairs starting at $500. The arm rests and neck supports are a problem with my body type, but they may be perfect for yours. At $130 I wouldn’t consider it a budget chair, but if its within your price range I think you’ll be very happy with it. ... show more

  • working great for me
I have assembled two different office chairs in the last week, both were similarity priced. Of the two this one is better constructed. It uses twice as many bolts in it's assembly and they even put thread locker on those bolts so you wont have a problem in the future with the bolts backing out. That was a nice touch because most people don't have thread locker laying around and it's often overlooked in the assembly process. I have lower back problems and I found the lumbar support and its adjustment to work very well. The headrest is also adjustable and me being 5-11 I found it to be comfortable. I have the headrest set to its highest setting and I do think it looks a little funny set so far above the rest of the chair but it works well. The chair adjusts up and down easily and it also has a large range of reclinement or can be set to not reline at all. The arms can be adjusted up and down to your liking. The seat cushion and back rest are comfortable to use for extended periods and it has become my favorite chair to use at my desk. This chair was relatively easy to assemble by myself and took a little over an hour. My overall impression is it's a well built chair, comfortable and a good value for the money. ... show more
