Old chair started to wear out. Arm rests were torn open and fabric on the bottom started to flake away. This was easy to set up and is typical for this type of chair. Lumbar and head supports have great adjustment range.

I am a senior, 6' 1" 220lb. I recently moved into a 500sf small 2 room apartment. I got this to be my LR TV lounge chair, to use mainly when watching my new 65" TV. I really wanted an Eames-style, but this will have to do. The chair components all were well packed. As I unpacked, I was pleasently surprised at the heft and substance of each. I was expecting much more lightweight stuff. Like typical outdoor propane grill stuff..Not so. Heavy gauge steel. Beautiful powder coated. On assy some nice details. For example, you secure the legs to the central spider with bolts that have compression lock washers preinstalled. Assy sequence is logical. Basically from the ground up. At this point retrieve the box from recycling, as it is used as a holding fixture for securing the arms, back, and seat. The securing bolts for all this actually have dabs of blue loctite on them! Do not overtighten! The bolts go into helicoil-like inserts. They may be T-nuts, but you can"t tell - its blind. It may be possible to pull them our by overtorking so snug up and stop. Securing the 4 bolts for the seat was a pita. Start all four then tighten car wheel lugbolt pattern. Don't forget to use the flat washers C. Finish by snapping in the headrest. Now take the T-wrench, spare screws. Instructions, put in a ziplock, and duct-tape ito the chair bottom opposite the height adjuster lever. . Chair is now done. Now compared to the Eames-style, what is missing? The Ottoman. Amazon had this $39 one: Purgreen Small Footstool Ottoman (url deletion required) I pulled the trigger. The combo works best with chair lowered to its minimum 15.7" height, Adjust this first, then the recline, arm, and lumbar and head adjustments. While my setup is both comfortable and economic, don't expect the materials, construction, or durability to equal those beautiful $650 Eames-style knockoffs. But for 1/4 the cost I'll be happy with a few years unbroken use. We shall see. 5 stars - for.my use case as a poor mans Eames-style Can't afford Eames-style? Take a look...

I received the Marsail Ergonomic Office Chair to replace my old chair, which had poor lumbar support—and this upgrade has exceeded all expectations. Assembly took me exactly 30 minutes, and I have to say, it was hands down the most enjoyable chair assembly process I’ve ever had. A big shoutout to whoever decided to include gloves in the package—putting them on instantly made me feel like a professional. The instructions were exceptionally clear and easy to follow, honestly the best I’ve ever seen for an office chair. Every step was thoughtfully laid out, and everything aligned perfectly. What really stood out for me is the built-in 3D lumbar support. It didn’t require any additional setup—just install the base, and you're good to go. This is a major plus since I previously struggled with detachable or poorly designed lumbar pieces that never quite stayed in place. Another thoughtful touch is the coat hanger on the back—perfect for shared office spaces where you might not want to drape your jacket over your desk or chair arms. Speaking of arms, the flip-up armrests are a smart feature too, giving more flexibility in tighter spaces or when you just want them out of the way. Comfort-wise, the thick cushion and adjustable tilt (90–120°) make it ideal for both long work sessions and quick breaks. The 3D headrest adds another layer of support that I didn’t know I needed until I tried it. All in all, this is an excellent chair for work or gaming, especially in shared or professional environments. Easy to assemble, incredibly functional, and surprisingly fun to put together—highly recommend!
