No, The armrests are not 8 in they are probably four. This couch is horrendous. It looks ridiculous, it's very short like to the ground. I do not recommend this whatsoever. I regretted 150%

Sofa is a bit lower than what it should be. The back cushions have pathetically no cushion in it. I had to buy Moore feeling for every back cushion and there are 3.

Great couch! Easy to put together but the spacers for the armrests were a little too long and luckily we had some shorter ones to get it fully together. It's still fluffing up since we just put it together, but so far it's super comfortable and the seat cushions are very springy. It's not quite as soft as the photos make it seem, but that's not necessarily a huge issue for us. It's quite low to the ground as well. That's not much of an issue for my family since we're so short but it could be for others so I'm mentioning it. ... show more

Pros: Seat cushions are thick and comfy. The seating area is spacious and is as advertised. Assembly is relatively easy and straightforward Color matches advertised colors. Cons: despite thick seats, it still sits to low to the floor. Back cushions are way too thin and flimsy and do not stay in place. Backrest height is a little low for someone taller so that could be an issue. Overall it is okay. You could potentially build some type of platform to have the couch on to raise the overall height. Could use Velcro strips to secure back cushions in place. ... show more

I am very disappointed with these couches. It has been 11 days since delivery and opened and the cushions are still completely flat. The back cushions are paper-thin. Because they are so flat, the back cushions will not stand up at all, making the couch uncomfortable and poorly structured. These couches arrived vacuum-sealed, but even after giving them plenty of time to expand, they never did. The quality is far below what was advertised. I contacted the seller for a refund, but they require the couches to be returned. This is unreasonable, as the couches were shipped in suction bags and cannot be repackaged or returned in the same way once opened. ... show more
