I immediately put the rug to use. At first it was a little stiff. Great price for the size. Easy to clean gets 4* because it is so large you need to take it to a laundromat with a large front loading washer but it’s so worth it. I just got back from washing it and it looks brand new! It’s also much softer now! I washed it on cold and dried with no heat. My dogs made it dirty which you can kind of see in the first photo. But wow! After the wash it’s awesome. Totally worth it. It doesn’t slip/slide move around which was important for me with kids and older pets. I also bought the runners that match and it’s fabulous. My dogs have lighter fur and it hides/isn’t noticeable with this carpet (but that’s what I wanted if I can’t vacuum and people show up). Very much an excellent purchase. I’ve had this runner (2’ x 6’) for almost 4 years, in a high traffic area in the kitchen, between sink/island and stove. It’s just thick enough, with a non-skid bottom, to not slide around, yet flexible enough to throw in the washing machine - which I’ve done many times. I bought this rug in February 2021 to go in the hallway where our side door is. This is the door we use to take the dogs outside. This rug has been through the ringer! Poop stains, dirt stains, toddler spilling milk, pee stains, you name it! I have washed this rug just about every other month for the last 3 and a half years! The pattern has pretty much faded almost completely. The last wash was it for this rug though. The non-slip backing has started to peel off. I have washed and dried this rug in the dryer approximately 20 times in the last 3 years and for it to just now start falling apart is a win in my book! The media could not be loaded. I really like the pattern and length. I have washed them in the washing machine a few times and they are holding up nicely. They have a rubber backing so they don't slide around. They aren't too thick so they aren't a tripping hazard.

I purchased a small one for buy my sink as well as the runner for my kitchen and I’m back to buy a 3rd! We’ve got 3 cats and 1 dog plus 3 kids and a messy husband. Mats around the house are a must! But washable ones are even better! I’ve washed these mats numerous times now even the big one with no issues. They are nonskid which so they also stay in place. Update #2) 2 yrs later and I still loves this rug. I wash it every couple of weeks, due to either the cat vomiting on it or the dogs muddy paws from coming inside. I have been searching for a plain colored rug but Maples doesn’t seem to have one that I can find. I will keep searching because if I find one I will definitely purchase. Highly recommend this rug** UPDATE #1) I have this carpet in my hallway and it seems to be a perfect spot for the cat to vomit on. I have washed it numerous times and I throw it in the dryer, and it comes out perfect. No Frilling or damage to the carpet. I would definitely buy another one** awesome little rug. I got the 2x6ft.
