Size: 40FT 1/2" Main Tubing
I purchased this hose as a main line for drip irrigation in my veggie garden. The size was perfect as I needed 1/2 inch vs 5/8 inch to pair with a Snip and Drip system from Gardener’s Supply. My goal was to attach the smaller 1/4 inch tubing with the 1/4 inch barbed connectors to run individual lines to each veggie plant. This is where the problems begin. The hose is made of a material that is very difficult to punch a hole in. I had to use something sharper than the normal drip irrigation hole puncher. Once the hole is punched it is very difficult to see where it was. I had to turn on the water to see where it leaked. This added time. Finally, the 1/4in barbed connectors don’t seal completely even though the hole was the normal size for the connector. I’m going to have to add some tape around the seals and hope I don’t lose too much water. I am going to live with the fiasco for one season but will have to start over with something new next year. I would not buy this product again to use as a main irrigation drip line.

The tubing is extremely soft and pliable. Clearly intended for above ground areas. The tubing will pinch when installed below grade especially under sod.
