This product was very easy to setup, seems to keep plants watered but only at the bottom. You will have to still hand water from the top so to me, it defeats the whole purpose of calling it self watering if I still have to go in and hand water from the top. If it were me, I’d do drippers. But overall, for what it was made to do, it does the job ok.

I wish I knew what I was getting before I purchased this. The pot bags just sit on nylon string that is fed down into the water tray. Will the water get to the plants? Maybe. But I doubt any nutrients will be transferred to the soil in this manner.

The media could not be loaded. This kit is extremely nice! I grow in coco, so it took a few days to get everything primed to work right, but good to go after 3 days of making sure medium was wet to get it to prime. After prime was complete, the coco is staying perfectly moist. The best part of this is no electrical parts! this is done with a simple float switch. I have 2 complaints.... 1, the port off the res is about 2 gallons of water above the bottom, so there is always 2 gallons of feed that's wasted. 2, I would like to see spare parts. The float switch activates a rubber plug, I see this going bad at some point. Also, I would like to see a 90 degree fitting, and not 2 extra potential leak points. I haven't had a single leak, but just thinking ahead. Def buy this kit!

The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical about putting 13 gal of water in a folding bucket, but its super thick and sturdy. Everything is pretty durable. Tubing is thick, and kink free. Plants have been on it for a week now and they're happy and healthy. Definitely recommend 👌
