I started growing mustache which requires frequent attention. I have whole body trimmers and hair trimmers but they are bulkier and do not get into the right areas like mustache. This one does a good job getting in those challenging areas. Also the adjustment knob can adjust the length to a range of settings without needing extra combs for each one. However the knobs operation is weird and difficult. Additionally, USB charging is a plus Overall, I am happy with the purchase but it could have been cheaper and easier to operate.

My husband wanted a smaller trimmer we could keep in our RV or to toss into a travel bag for road trips, and this one is perfect for that. He doesn’t currently have a beard though may again, shortly, so he tried it for general trimming and cleanup and liked it right away. The biggest advantage is the built-in length adjustment. No pile of loose guards to keep track of, no digging through attachments trying to remember which one you used last time. You just slide the adjustment where you want it and go. That makes it so much more convenient than trimmers we’ve owned over the years. And it's so quiet. Not silent, obviously, but it doesn’t sound like a weed trimmer buzzing in the bathroom at 6 AM. It cuts evenly, doesn't pull, and feels comfortable in the hand. Compact too, which was important for us since this was mainly meant as a travel trimmer. Being able to rinse it off under the faucet afterward is nice too. I wouldn’t call it cheap, and the body is mostly plastic, though it still feels solid enough during use. But overall, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do without being complicated. My husband likes it, and that’s honestly the review that matters in this case.

I recently used the Beard Hedger PLUS on an overgrown beard, and overall I came away pretty impressed. The adjustable guard is definitely the standout feature. I tested multiple length settings while trimming, and the changes between each level are gradual and controlled, which makes it much easier to fine tune your beard instead of accidentally taking too much off. The range from 20mm down to 1mm gives you a lot of flexibility depending on the style you want. After trimming, I removed the guard completely to clean up my sideburns, neck, and mustache lines. It worked well for general cleanup, although I’d say it performs better as a trimmer than as a precision edging tool. You can still line things up, but it’s not razor sharp in that department. One thing I really liked was how quiet it is. The blade and motor stay smooth and relatively quiet while cutting, which gives it a more refined feel compared to louder trimmers. Battery life also seems very solid. Mine arrived fully charged, and it barely made a dent in the battery after use. The travel lock is another nice touch since it helps prevent the trimmer from accidentally turning on in a bag. Overall, this feels like a well-designed and practical beard trimmer. Great adjustment system, quiet operation, strong battery life, and very convenient for travel and regular grooming.

I've been looking for a good razor to keep my beard in line, and this one does a nice job with it. Pros: Extremely convenient- this trimmer managed to give you blade guards from size 1 to size 20 with only two pieces of rather solid plastic that are easily interchangable. Adjusting the length is a simple task, taking only seconds. Easy to clean- all you need to do is run the razor under water to remove any hair that builds up on it. USB-C charging- no longer will you need to carry another cable around with you when travelling, this beard trimmer uses the same USB-C port that you find on all modern smartphones and other devices. That makes it much better than the alternatives, which all use a proprietary cable that you need to buy directly from them, instead of the nearest convenience store. Travel mode- You won't risk accidentally turning on your razor when it's in a travel bag with this, it locks out the motor and the LED indicator makes it clear when you have it enabled. Cons: Very one use- This is a beard trimmer. Nothing more, nothing less. If you want something that comes with a million attachments and can clean up every inch of your body, look elsewhere. Guard size may not be perfectly accurate- I ran this item head to head against my Philips multigroom 9000. The 1 setting on this one against the 1.6 on that one, and found that the 1.6 on the philips cut slightly closer than the 1 on the Manscaped beard hedger. This is a minor nitpick, as both provided a very close trim. No brush- while it is very easy to clean, it does not include a brush to remove any excess trimmed hair that might get stuck under the guard.

I’ve tried a lot of beard trimmers over the years, and this Manscaped Beard Hedger plus is easily one of the best I’ve owned. The adjustable length wheel is incredibly convenient, no digging through a pile of guards trying to find the right size. Being able to quickly switch between lengths from 1–20mm makes trimming and blending my beard so much easier and more precise. The stainless steel blade cuts clean without pulling or snagging, even on thicker areas of my beard and mustache. It gives a very even trim and makes keeping everything looking sharp, even for quick touch ups. I also really like that it’s waterproof, which makes cleanup fast and easy. Battery life has been excellent so far, and the fact that it charges is a huge plus compared to older trimmers that still have to be plugged in to work. The travel lock is another nice feature if you toss it in a bag for trips or gym use. Overall this feels premium, well designed, and actually practical for everyday grooming. Definitely worth the money if you want a cordless beard trimmer that’s easy to use, versatile, and gives professional looking results at home.

This is not my third item from Manscaped, and all have been excellent so far. For years, I used a Panasonic beer trimmer that I really liked as you could easily buy replacement blades. This trimmer has the same feature, and unlike the old Panasonic, I can charge it with a standard USB-C not a special proprietary charger. It charges in about 90 minutes. It does come with two different comb lengths, one of my only nits is that it does not have single millimeter adjustments, but on the shorter comb goes from 1 to 4 mm with a single mark between the two that I assume is to be 2.5. Most others have a single millimeter adjustment which would have been preferred. My other wish is that the cutting head would be just a little bit larger, but they still does a great job. I do feel this company makes great products that hold up well, with other ones I have being one of their high-end shavers as well as another hair trimmer— I recommend them all. This also has a Travel lock so it can be thrown into a bag without worrying about it being set off during the trip. Definitely recommend!
