I fall occasionally and since my husband is unable to pick me up he has to call the local rescue squad. I can not comment on the ease of use since I have not fallen since receiving the chair, but I am sure that it will not be a problem. The chair is wery well build from quality materials and should last a long time. It is heavy but that is good. it makes thhis lift chair steadier and safer. I wish we had had this chair earlier.     • Very stout, but design has issues.
I do not recommend for senior people wanting to live independently. While this is very stout and will lift most anyone to a position to get back into your wheelchair or to a standing position, it is incredibly heavy and very difficult to maneuver for older people. The floor brackets are not attached so that the rollers can be used to move the chair lift. But, you have to put the floor brackets on every time in order to use and stabilize this lift. Therefore, if you are an older couple, this could be very difficult for you to use when you need it. ... show more

    • An in-home solution to needing a list-assist.
When looking for options to help one keep their independence, as well as avoid the need to call for lift assists, this is an AMAZING solution. To start, yes this isn't cheap and it's fairly heavy (there are wheels on it) but that's because it is super sturdy and definitely well made. It's much heavier than I would have imagined, but that's what it takes to lift a full-size adult so easily. Anything flimsy would have been unsafe and when using this I don't feel even the slightest bit wobbly or concerned. The seat is plenty large for even a pretty bigger person. The battery took about 2 hours to charge up fully. The seatbelt helps to keep the seat in place when it's folded up and stored somewhere. The chairs mechanics lift and lower very slowly, which is wonderful. It lowers right to the floor so you can scoot over onto it, and then it raises higher than you even need it to, so you can easily stand up. It's pretty impressive just how well it works. It came with two allen wrenches that appear to be used to tighten the seat and armrests, but both are actually too large, which was a bit perplexing. However it wasn't an issue for myself because I have plenty of my own. Putting it all together was very easy, which is good because I wondered if it would arrive mostly ready to use or need some extensive assembly. There's a place to store the two bottom brackets and remote on the back of the seat when it's not in use. The only thing you actually charge is the remote, nothing on the chair itself. There is one thing you'll need to be careful with when using it. When you are sitting on it and lower the seat, you have to be sure to keep the remote cable pulled forward to prevent it from getting caught under the chair and being cut. The chair arrived in tons of foam packaging, so it was well protected during shipping. Overall it's an outstanding machine that can be extremely helpful for those with mobility issues, bad knees, numbness, etc. All those things that could cause you to find yourself on the floor and unable to get back up. If you have someone with you, they can roll the chair right over to you. This will help prevent the person on the floor from being hurt from the pulling from another person on their arms to try and get them up. If you're on your own, I can see where having the chair lowered (or at least accessible) in a main area of the home, where one could hopefully scoot over to, would provide at least some way to get back up on one's own, rather than needing to call emergency services for a lift assist. ... show more

I recently purchased the MaideSite Electric Chair Lift, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Opting for two-day shipping, the product arrived promptly and in impeccable condition, thanks to its excellent packaging. After unpacking the box and assembling the chair, I connected the controller to the charger, which took around 4 hours to fully charge. Once charged, I plugged the controller into the chair lift and tested it out by sitting on the seat and pressing the UP button. To my delight, the lift smoothly elevated me, and I felt entirely secure throughout the process. This lift was specifically bought to assist me in lifting my wife off the floor after she experiences a fall due to her ongoing balance issues. Previously, I struggled to lift her safely, often risking injury to my own back in the process. However, this chair lift provides the perfect solution to my dilemma.     • Much needed here when i pulled my back muscle and more!!
The fiancee could only help so much so this was a much needed 2nd or 3rd person to get into the seat. Get strapped in place and move upwards to a better position to walk. Pulled my back muscle and was literally on my walk for what it seems an eternity. The worst pain ever. Just the task of walking to the bathroom seems like it took 90 minutes!? Yeah need this in the house in case of current and future occurrences. This is NOT cheap whatsoever but easy to put together. Around a tad under 50 lbs so for the size and item is is lightweight and foldable. Once together a blessing. Good to have around 24-7. Why wait for help. You can do this al yourself but will take time. Best to have a 2nd person. But this is my 2nd person. PEACE - LIVE - LIFE - LOVE - LAUGH - PRAY ... show more
