    • Multiple purchases of this chair, multitude of problems
We haven’t yet learned a lesson. Bought the first one and after 2 to 3 years a $2 part broke, caused it to lean to the right about 45 degrees, wife was almost dumped on the hard wood floor. I looked at the undercover and it was a broken strut, easily removed. Got it out in 20 minutes and had a friend come over who’s a welder, looked like an easy job to weld thee broken part back together. But he recognized it was not steel but pewter. He said it could be welded but wasn’t the best material to weld. Called Pride Mobility and got a customer service. Had called them once before and was treated like a second class citizen. This call just even worse. Felt like I was I being interrogated as a criminal. At one point she accused me of lying to her because I was able to give her the model number, date of manufacture and some other number. Still had the factory tag on it which I had pictured the tag on my phone. I finally asked for a supervisor, was told she was occupied and would call me back. Never got a call. We had another chair exactly like the first. Serape man said BOTH actuators were broken, $800 to replace. I was skeptical because both broke at the same time. Turned out to be one actuator and the electronic control box. Replaced both. And to show you how naive we are, we’ve got a 3rd one ordered as a backup. In the interim we bought a less expensive recliner from Amazon for a backup. Well guess what broke on it. They sent me a replacement, easy to change out. But still…. I doubt if Amazon will print this fiasco but I’m venting to anybody that will listen. Sorry if I wasted your time. ... show more

    • Great Chair but be aware it doesn’t recline all the way flat
I ordered this chair for my elderly father. It’s a very well constructed large chair. I loved the color and the material. Unfortunately, we had to return the chair because it doesn’t recline flat which is what he needed to get his legs above his heart. The controls worked great and it was easy to assemble. The only negative response from my father was it’s a bit hard to sit on which probably means it won’t break down. Medical Express was awesome to deal with and very understanding and helpful. I’m giving this product 5 stars because for the price you can’t beat the quality of this chair. ... show more
