The media could not be loaded. The item sent is a sample of the materials used in the screen door system. If the quality of the actual screen door is as good as the sample, it's an awesome product! I can't comment on the ease of installation because there's nothing to install since this is just a sample. The screen is very thick and durable. I don't see how it could be easily torn up, maybe not even if my cats decide to climb it. The weave is small enough that no bugs could get through except for maybe the tiniest of gnats, but I'm sure the screen will allow fresh air in easily. My only concern is if any of the metal will rust when exposed to the elements. I will be placing the samples outside to check for this before I actually order the screen door. It's also very helpful that all the parts are labeled, so you can see how the door works!

I’ve been interested in getting one of these according-style folding screen doors for my front door, since I don’t want a permanent option and don’t want it to obstruct the view of our front door or entry in and out of it when we’re not using it, so this seems like the perfect solution. Given the price for a custom piece, I haven’t yet bit the bullet to do it. When I saw this kit come available through Vine, I thought it might help me make my decision of whether it would be worth the expense. In that sense, this kit was quite helpful. It lets you see all the color options, feel the quality of the materials (which are excellent, including a metal mesh screen), test the robust impact strength of the metal, and see how each piece fits together. It’s also helpful to be able to measure how and where it would sit on your door frame. After exploring this kit, I will almost certainly be ordering the full custom door. Although it was useful in helping me make my decision to go for it, I’m unsure if the cost of this kit would be worth it for most when you could instead put the cost toward the door itself. If you’re on the fence or considering the gray color (which has more shade variability than white or black), it may be useful.

When I tried to install this aluminum retractable screen door with the instructions provided, mostly inadequate, It was not possible to do. I can be fairly handy so when I couldn't figure it out I knew this was not going to end well. Essentially the directions were inadequate, the space available to use for putting it together was also inadequate, so be sure you have enough space to put it together without excessive frustrations. Never did get it put together because while the directions were poor, the pieces did not go together well either. I ended up packing it back into the box it arrived in to try to take another look at it in due time. I did notice the screen quality was good. Would definitely keep bugs and insects outside. Fairly thick and the mesh is close together for a sturdy and likely very effective screen. Too difficult to figure out putting it together, I do not recommend this item.

I ordered this knowing full well it was a sample. The pieces seem to be a good quality. Enough that we decided to order the retractable screen door. However, the price listed is a BASE price. Once you enter the measurements, choose the frame and screen color, the price quadrupled. We wrote the company, and they responded quickly and were very kind. The price is reasonable for a custom door. However, without testing the actual product, or any other real reviews we ultimately decided not to purchase the door.

All the sample pieces appear to be nice Aluminum extrusions. The 'mesh' material is VERY strong/solid. I plan on buying one of the doors and will update once I get it installed. (maybe 6-8 weeks with order time/my install......) -Will Update.

I'm a little confused when I received this small box with aluminum trim. The translation is a little lacking in the instructions but I think they want you to attach these pieces of aluminum to your door frame. Then I guess you order a door after you carefully measure the dimensions. This was not what I was expecting.

Note THIS IS A SAMPLE NOT THE ACTUAL DOOR!!!! I received the sample and although I did not understand what every part was despite each sample piece was labeled, I was still impressed with the possible product it represented Now keep in mind I didn't have the actual product; however, if these doors are exactly as the sample I'll admit I'm impressed. This would be a super high quality door . The screen is unlike any I personally have ever seen. And I'm guessing based on the small samples they would not only be high quality and very durable it would likewise be beautiful and of course functional. I'm thinking I am going to order the slider screen door. It looks as if it would be the last one I ever would need to purchase.
