I have an older model double wide that has no central heat/air vent in the utility room. This door has one of those annoying vents in the door because when the home was originally mfg'd there was a gas furnace in the utility. I replaced the inefficient furnace & air with a heat pump, but this room as always "leaked". While 4 degrees might not sound like a lot, making up that 4 degree difference puts unnecessary strain on the heat pump. This was easy to install and works extremely well. I have to leave my patio door open for my rescue dogs. They're too scared to go in and out with a human. Leaving the door open in winter is terrible for my heating bill, so I bought this curtain. It works great, I just tack up the very bottom so the dogs can get out. The floor around the door is staying warmer! Be warned, the adhesion is so good I am pretty sure it is going to absolutely wreck my door coming off. You probably want to plan on leaving the velcro in place forever. ... show more

The magnets aren't strong enough to withstand the wind. I put velcro straps in between some of the magnets and now it handles the wind great. I love it. It could use more weights at the bottom to hold the wind back. But I still love it for the price. Keeps the flies and bugs out so gets the job done. It's was very easy to install. I think it’s perfect. I got it instead of installing a doggy door for my back porch. I keep the inside door open and prop the storm door open. We’ve had some significant windy storms on the east coast and the magnetic stays closed! I didn’t use the Velcro closures, just the thumb tacks on the inside of the frame between the two doors so I can still close them with it between. Does great! ... show more

Was not standard door size. All of our doors are between 34 and 36 inches wide. This is only 32 inches. Looks great and durable but is small.

When putting the velcro on we attached it to the curtain first both sides I went all the way up and the the middle piece I went the rest of the top with a strip. Then the husband and I held it up to the wall to figure out where to place it. We then took the middle strip on top off and adhesive it to the wall. Then went down each side one at a time starring at the top and pulled the backing off. While one of us keep the adhesive from touching the wall. We then pushed the top corner down, then husband just left the curtain lay going down slow and pushed it to the wall. Make sure you have it where you want before putting on the wall as it sticks very well and will ruin the wallpaper if you do. Only dislike I found is that when taking off the backing way from the adhesive had to go slow or pieces would break off. ... show more
