Quite surprised by the quality of this inexpensive bipod. I’ve relied on firearm equipment for my life and employment for around 20+ years. Seem them around and decided to try one. The Mrs. Got it for me for Xmas to try. If you’re looking for it to be or replace an Atlas or similar, or even the OG Harris, of course you’ll be disappointed. But at its price point I doubt you’d find anything even close to this nice. Typical Magpul, it’s well thought out, well made, well executed and looks… ok (personal opinion). I’m a bit spoiled for equipment but this has its own merit and deserves a chance to impress you as it did me. For a lightweight, small caliber plinker or maybe even a SDM type role it would work well enough. For a dedicated competition or precision weapons system spend the money and buy the right equipment.

Mounted this on my AR-10 with a heavy 18" barrel. Fired 20 rounds with it mounted this morning, and found this bipod to be exactly what I was wanting and needing. Plenty sturdy with no discernable movement. I shot from a wooden bench and the tips held just fine throughout the shooting process. No skidding or having to readjust my position for follow-up shots. The tilt/cant adjustment made it very easy to sight in and lock down once I had the reticle on target. Easy to install. Fit perfectly and made shooting with it very comfortable and predictable. I have a friend who asked about borrowing it for his .338 to see if it would work for that caliber. I think I would rate this, with due caution, up to a .300 Winchester Magnum, but no more than that. While the bipod is sturdy and works for my .308, I believe a .338 surpasses what the design and material of this particular bipods' design parameters are. There are heavier bipods for that.

This is a well built, sturdy bipod that looks good and works as intended. The only issue I had was that the heads of the M-lok screws are very soft. One of them stripped while hand tightening and I had to use two different screw extractors to remove it and replace it without damaging my rifle. The second one stripped while removing the bipod to replace the first damaged screw. Now I have to get better quality screws somewhere else.

Got the MLOK style. Takes a few minutes to install it correctly, but after that you should absolutely treasure it. It is a great bipod that does all that most everyone needs in my opinion. I replaced an old bipod that was cheap but worked okay. It didn't pan/swivel, tilt and the legs seemed weak but it never broke so it was okay but just didn't have the features I desired. The Magpul mlok has sturdy legs, good tilt feature ability and very nice pan/swivel action. It seems to be worth the small difference in cash from cheaper products available. 5 Stars!
